One of the titles of Jesus is The Advocate. When a case is brought before a court of law, if the lawyer of the accused is not able to present a powerful defence for his client, the accused will retrogress and become a convict. During such a case, the complainant and the accused are hardly given a chance to defend themselves. What will be recorded in their favour will depend on what their lawyers present before the judge.Usually, you may be ignorant of or unable to influence the case against your life in the spiritual realm but the Advocate knows and He can do a good job. You know, He is far more experienced than the devil who stands to oppose you. He is wiser than the Accuser of the brethren, after all, He created him. He knows how to flaw the devil in any argument concerning your life.Yet for the Advocate to effectively perform His role, you must be born again, walk in obedience to all His commands and be yielded to Him. You must completely open up to Him. No secrets. Whether you tell Him or not, He already knows anyway, yet you must confide in Him.

For the Advocate to powerfully present your case, He would want to know how much of God’s Word you know. That is why you must create time to study, memorize and meditate on His Word. If you claim to be too busy to do this, it may affect the work of your Advocate.

You will always create time for what is important to you. In addition, you must be able to pray effectively on the issue your Advocate is presenting before God’s court. We as mortals are limited in our ability to do this, hence you must link up with the ally of your Advocate – the Holy Spirit. He knows your weaknesses and exactly how to fill the gap. As you pray in the spirit, He supplies all the Advocate needs in Heaven, and you will be on the way to winning your case.

Every case against you and your family, be it physical or spiritual, is cancelled today in Jesus’ Name. The Advocate will back you up and God the Father will grant every good desire of your heart this year. What is your relationship with the Advocate?

Thank God for your Advocate. Ask for grace to satisfy all His requirements so that He can win all your cases which He presents to God.
