“4 Reasons Wear a Mask, Even if You Hate It” - Emmanuel Baptist Church

As you probably know, the Saskatchewan government is requiring us to wear face masks while we sing in our church services. Not everyone is happy about this. Some people think that masks are unnecessary, while others find wearing them to be uncomfortable.

Some churches have responded by eliminating congregational singing altogether. At EBC, we’ve decided that’s not an option, given the way that Ephesians 5:19-21 and Colossians 3:16 tell us that singing together should be a crucial part of our life as a church.

Some people might have legitimate physical difficulties with wearing a mask. But if that’s not the case for you, should you still wear one? Even if you don’t agree with the reasons for doing so? Even if you find it uncomfortable?

As you think about your answers to that question, I commend to you this article from the Gospel Coalition: “4 Reasons to Wear a Mask, Even if You Hate It.” I trust you’ll find it as compelling and helpful as I did.

4 Reasons to Wear a Mask, Even if You Hate It

There are plenty of reasons to dislike wearing face masks, but there are biblical reasons why we still should.
