You are Blessed!

You are Blessed!

“Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” Psalms 32:1

Psalms 32 starts with a blessing! The Psalm tells us that people who are blessed are forgiven. The Psalm reads like the Beatitudes of Matthew 5. Does it sound familiar? – ‘Lucky is the one…?’[1] Jesus spoke to the crowds when He was here on the mountainsides of Israel, teaching people how to be His disciples. “You are blessed when it’s hard…You are blessed because you have a pure heart!”

David said in Psalm 32 that he wouldn’t keep silent. He understood that it was essential to speak out and not keep things tucked away in his heart. That’s where “liberation” comes from when we speak words out.[2]Confession is vital. God paid for our sins! The road to liberation comes from expressing what is in our hearts.

What does it mean to be human? We must have the liberty to speak. We are made in the image of God. Be transparent with God! Know His eye is on you. As said by Glenn Blank, “You may as well be transparent with God – His eye is already on you.”[3]

God teaches you. God leads you. God calls you blessed. God helps us to confess what can’t be left in our hearts anymore.
