Can You Interpret the Times? ~ Christine Malkemes

Can you see what others cannot see?

Dear Sister Disciples,

Everywhere we turn, something unique and unusual is happening. The weather has gone crazy, the COVID is out of control, and our state representatives are fighting among themselves.

We don’t have to look to the sky to see if it will rain or watch how the wind blows to know how hot it will be. We have an app for that.

There is no spiritual app to interpret this present age. It takes watchfulness and perseverance. It takes knowing intimate the Lord and His word. Now is the critical time of salvation. Those who do not respond to the gospel will face the ultimate Judge of Judgment Day.

Come to the Lord while He may be found.

The Reading Plan: Luke 12:49-53 Interpreting the Times

At sunset, we are ever closer to the day when Christ returns. But, unfortunately, the hourglass holds only so much sand. We all memorized John 3:16 but conveniently passed by John 3:17 – “But whoever does not believe stands condemned.”

Where are the great revivals of old? Where are the great evangelist in the convention hall or big white tents? Did the message die with Billy Graham?

The Word

You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? Luke 12:56

Jesus always tells the truth. Will we learn to interpret the present time?

We are living in the end times. It is not a time to fear but to persevere. It is not the time to seek signs, but the signs will come. Despite the culture, stay strong. In the face of opposition, be courageous and when people try to distract you, stand fast.

The Word

The testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:3-4

Interpret the times.

It’s not about the Republicans or Democrats. It’s about those who believe in Jesus and those who do not. It is not about Trump or Biden, but about who will perish or gain eternal life. It’s not about right or wrong, but who is condemned and who is not.

It is not even about social justice, but about Spiritual justice. The just shall live by faith. Who are those who live in the light and who love the darkness enough to hate the light? It is about those who live by the truth and those who live in a lie.

Persevere: To persist despite counter influences, opposition, or discouragement. Stand fast.

Persevere, my dear sisters, stand firm and trust the God who created time, knows this present age and will take care of you.

Interpret the times and be prepared to do the will of God. Continue to be steadfast. In these end times, come what may, you still stand fast.

How Now Should I Live?

Make peace with God while there is still time. We cannot afford to put it off to another day. Another day may not come. You see, each generation is the seed of the next. Therefore, the degenerate seed will produce a degenerate harvest.

The sign of the times: A weak, decadent people increase the number of their own kind.

Walk in fullness of power, separated, purified, and ready at any moment to give everything, even your life, for the glory of God.

The sign of the times: The redeemed will produce a harvest of redemption.

Maranatha! Jesus is coming and coming soon!!!!

The Word

Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He promised. Hebrews 10:35-36
