Encouragement For Christians Living Wisely In This Crooked World

Have you seen how society is turning things around and making people believe in their own wisdom, strength, and knowledge? A new way of life that contend with God is going on. Here is a call to live wisely.

Wisdom isn’t sold for a penny. Anyone who lacks always finds himself in trouble. This world isn’t a good place for the Children of God. Everything we see around is passing by so quickly.

There is no time left to rely on human capabilities. It will be a futile idea to trust in humans or their inventions at the expense of the saving power of Jesus Christ.

The highest authority bodies in many countries have enacted laws that infringe on religious freedom. The law now defines what ‘sin‘ is but not the Bible.

Former MP from Finland Päivi Räsänen, for instance, has to face legal issues for tweeting a Bible verse that frowns on homosexuality. They now call it ‘hate speech.’ They are redefining our values, beliefs, and daily lifestyles.

Each day, we are presented with new challenges. We see, hear and feel the troubles cropping up in our lives and that of others. Surely, lessons are left behind for the wise. The fools learn nothing.

You can see people being enchanted to believe in political leaders and their ideologies; you can also find people having strong beliefs in science, technology and lawmakers.

Being wise in this crooked world is imperative. I’m not here to place much importance on earthly wisdom but wisdom that comes from above.

Those who rely on their human knowledge to live life, solve problems, make plans, and create soothing environments for themselves often fail to recognize the power of God.

There is a big challenge between the fleshly desire of men and the spiritual walks of the children of God. As science works on tests and proofs, it has succeeded in winning the hearts of many who are spiritually blind.

Who is going to test and prove the existence of God? Using physics to search for God, run a test, and prove it wouldn’t work out.

These scientific works have blinded and misled many to the point of forgetting that there is an unseen world that exists. It’s a spiritual world that needs people who are spiritual to discern and live by the Spirit of God.

Today, raising a topic about God sounds stupid to our generation. Atheism is gradually taking root all around the world. Technological gadgets cannot test and prove the existence of God so they rubbish any idea that throws light on the existence of a Supreme Being.

Science and Technology have won the hearts of many. Experts of many different fields of study have also succeeded in convincing the world to believe in their findings.

The Wise And His Knowledge In Question

Feeling too educated, knowledgeable and important about oneself isn’t what will make you happy, successful or a person of vision.

Searching through books and consuming its contents without searching through the scriptures results in a lack of heavenly wisdom. The fear of the Lord wouldn’t be seen in anyone who is wise in his one way.

“For the wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. As it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness.” (1 Corinthians 3:19)

The Crafty Plans Of The Devil

Walking in the ways of evil-doers leads to eternal destruction. Satan is very powerful and cunning. He is building himself up through political leaders, world leaders, science and technology and people who do not believe in God.

By marshaling all these fields and people; he can successfully lead them to fight against the children of God.

The biggest question we must ask is about how society is tapping into the so-called “normal life” —hence forcing everyone to fit in.

Do you even see what is happening around this world? People are being too wise in their own way. Recently, something weird happened in Canada.

The Satanic Temple in Canada proudly held its first convention in Scottsdale, Canada from the 11th to 13th February. This “SatanCon” received opposition from Christians who said ‘No to evil.’

The organization calls itself the “primary Satanic religious organization in the world.” Members hold a very strong agenda that they want to unleash for the people of Scottsdale to incorporate into their lives.

Well, according to them, it’s a big step into the world to teach people about a way that leads to freedom, happiness, success and peace.

Will society buy into this? Yes of course, there have been many people showing interest in promoting satanism. This fulfills what the Bible has said:

“For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God.” (2 Timothy 3:1 – 4)

Morality is diminishing, the fear of God is fading out in the lives of many. If mankind has succeeded in putting God behind —then nothing he does will strike his senses that there is something sinful that needs to be fixed before it is too late.

Too Much Freedom For The World Less For The Children Of God

Hey, it’s your own life, body and thoughts… This is what society is telling the young generation. John Cooper of Skillet Band said we need a generation that will proudly stand for Christ and defend the faith.

He again, said society is lying to us. Even some of the so-called Christian leaders and celebrities are deconstructing Christianity. Are we living wisely?

The world is in the process of cracking down on religious teachings —especially the Christian faith and doctrines. They find it a threat to modern-day society.

The Communist Party in China for instance is teaching kids from kindergarten about atheism —thus raising a generation of people who do not have the fear of God. Imagine seeing a bunch of well-thought atheists moving on our planet. There would be nothing like God’s way.

A new way of life that has massive support from governmental bodies, political leaders, scientists; backed by a well-crafted law is gaining momentum.

Things have turned around. What the Bible calls ‘sin’ has been approved by human institutions as ‘good.’

It is a new way of life forcing religious people to abandon their faith and beliefs. Where is God? They ask.

All we can hear is “human rights.” Oh, I see, people want us to agree with the new way of living which contradicts the word of God.

The Bible calls us to live wisely in this crooked world… We are in a generation that censors religious activities, criminalizes what is holy and deals harshly with those who choose to live to please God.

“All things are lawful for me” – but not everything is beneficial. “All things are lawful for me” – but I will not be controlled by anything.” (1 Corinthians 6:12)

Mankind has failed to do things that please God. That freedom and ‘human rights’ thing has gone beyond what a creature of God (human) must do.

Living Wisely In This Crooked World

It’s very clear in our eyes that the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. Prophesies are being fulfilled now and then. People have become lovers of themselves, the fear of the Lord is nothing to them.

Will you then follow in the steps of the masses? What is wrong still remains wrong —irrespective of the number of people who support it.

If care is not taken; many Christians will backslide and be in the hands of the the devil. It’s a perverse world and God is calling His children to walk wisely.

“Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise, taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil. For this reason, do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord’s will is.” (Ephesians 5:15 – 17)

As Christians, there would always be challenges, because this world belongs to the devil. He is indeed roaring like a lion seeking whom he may devour.

Pray and ask for the strength to walk in the path of righteousness. This crooked world has nothing better for your soul. Only Christ Jesus can give your soul good rest. Think about the afterlife. Where would you be? There are rewards for good and bad deeds. You should know yourself by now.

To finalize everything about today’s life of Christians in this crooked world; I will say, we need more strength from the Holy Spirit —else many Christians will backslide, many others too will denounce the faith in an unimaginable way.

The world today needs philosophers like Socrates in our various leadership positions to sphere head morality and imbibe the fear of God in our generation. Sadly, a greater percentage of our leaders are corrupt, insensitive with no regard for godly living.

Now, you are left with your own conscience to choose between what is good and evil. Remember that you will account for whatever you do or say on judgment day.
