Praying God's Word Wednesday #42: John 13:7 - Lauren Sparks

John 13:7

This month we celebrated National Read Across America Day (and also Texas Independence Day, but most of you probably don’t care about that.  We Texans are a little too proud of our state.) What better way to celebrate reading than by reading John 13:7 and praying the words?

“Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.’”  John 13:7 NIV

My sister gave me a book called Prayers to Share:  100 Pass-Along Notes for Believing Bigger by Marshawn Evans Daniels.  The very first page seemed like the perfect petition to our all-powerful God on my husband’s behalf.  So I prayed over him and then passed the note along to him, as the book intends.  Now I’m praying over you.

From the book:

John 13:7

Replace the pronouns with the appropriate ones for the person (or yourself) that you are praying for.

Praying for you in this.  And don’t forget to share on social media or with a friend who could benefit.  It would mean so much to me.  And if you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.

P.S.  I was so stoked to find an entire collection of pass-along prayer books on Amazon!  If you click on the link above you can see them all.  If you love to make supplication on behalf of others or would like to add a little something extra to your prayer life, I highly recommend these books!  I will definitely be getting some more.
