Now they departed and came back to Moses and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the wilderness.

They showed them the fruit of the land and they told him and said we went to the land where you sent us and it truly flows with milk and honey and this is its fruit.

Nevertheless, the people who dwell in the land are strong, The cities are fortified and very large. Moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south, the Hittites, the Jebusites dwell in the mountains and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.

Then, Joshua kept the congregation quieted before Moses and said, “let us go out at once and take possession for we are well able to overcome it.”

But the men who had gone up with him said, “we are not able to go up against the people for they are stronger than we, and they give the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they have spied up saying the land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There. we saw the giants, the descendants of Anak are there and we were like grasshoppers in our sights.

Twelve leaders were sent to spy out the land of promise and they broke into two camps. I want you to see this: in every instance, people will always break into those two categories. and tonight I want you to locate yourself.

You had, first of all, the losers’ assembly. the losers’ Christian center. that was a congregation on its own with their powerful pastors at that.

Then, you have the other one, the winner congregation. There were just two leaders there. We will always break into those two camps. Nut first, let’s speak about this losers assembly. This is the land that you sent us to see, it’s good, and the way you said it is the way it is. It’s a land that flows with milk and honey but that was where it ended on the positive notes.

Okay, the members of the losers congregation, usually, these are people who have what I call mental ascent. if you try a little bit, you’ll be able to persuade them to agree that life could be better.

You will be able to persuade them to agree that it is possible to be rich. it is possible to be blessed. it is possible, however, that’s what happens. they believe it’s possible for some other people, but not for them.

They said the land truly flows with milk and honey. We brought some fruits to show you. They have other people’s testimonies to hear, it’s just that they find it difficult to connect with those testimonies and to see how those things could be fulfilled in their own lives.

Now, they told Moses, we went to the land where you sent us, it truly flows with milk and honey and this is its fruit, nevertheless…

You see every time you are going on a positive note and you put the word, ‘but’, you punctured your balloon of faith.

They said nevertheless. nevertheless. the people who dwell in the land are strong, the cities are fortified and very large. Moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak. or were they trying to tell Moses, that it’s too much for us. we can’t make it. We can’t do it. The situation is overwhelming.

There are obstacles to the right, obstacles to the left, obstacles in front, and obstacles behind. Everywhere they look, they see problems. That’s another major characteristic of members of the losers’ congregation. They see the problem, they never see the solution and they always see situations has been overwhelming.

Instead of finding that one reason why it will work out, they will give you one hundred and one reasons why it will not work out.

The reason why they find such excuses is because that’s what they are looking for because what you look for is what you find. If you don’t know what you are looking for by the time you find it, you won’t recognize it.

The reason why they recognize the problems is that that’s what they’re looking out for. Watch out for such people around your life.

You’re sharing your vision and your dreams with them. and the first thing they give you is why it may not work out. Walk away from them.

One man chose to be different, Caleb. Though the people keep quiet and he said, let us go at once and take possession. we can overcome it.

You see whatever you cannot overcome on the inside, you won’t overcome on the outside for as long as you perceive that your financial situation or the economic situation in the country is overwhelming and is too much for you to handle, you just won’t be able to handle it.
