Praying God’s Word Wednesday #57: Psalm 7:17

It’s Gruntled Workers Day.  I PROMISE you I’m not making that up. And that’s the perfect day to pray Psalm 7:17 – a verse of praise! I love that there is such a day.  Not just because I was today years old when I learned that “gruntled” was a word (even though it makes perfect sense with the rules of grammar), but because it’s so happy!

Synonyms for “gruntled”?  Delighted, content, well pleased, cock-a-hoop (we don’t have time to get into that one), grateful and thankful.  I am buoyed just looking at that list.  Especially the one I know you are going to look up!  So I am choosing today to adopt a “gruntled” attitude and say a prayer of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord.  Let’s do it together!

I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;
    I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.

Psalm 7:17  NIV

Lord Most High, only You are righteous.  Thank You for sacrificing Your Son so I could be counted as such.  I don’t deserve this and many other gifts You give.  But You deserve all of my thanks and praise.  I love You and revere Your name.  Thank You, thank You, thank You for calling me Yours.  Amen.

Won’t you praise our wonderful God with me?

Praying for you in this.  And don’t forget to share on social media or with a friend who could benefit.  It would mean so much to me.  And if you don’t want to miss a Praying God’s Word Wednesday, subscribe over on the right hand side of this page.
