How to overcome Worry and Fear? - Raising Zion

When do words influence us? Why do we get influenced by what someone says?

Social media technology focuses on spreading negativity.

Negativity is profitable in the world.

Fear-mongering and lies create suspense and thrill.

Two causes of being negatively influenced are;

  • Worry
  • Fear

Do you worry about what people may say? Worrying about something you have no control of reveals immaturity. It reveals little faith (Matthew 6:30)

Fear allows the enemy to influence you.

  • Jezebel threatened Elijah, and he feared (1 Kings 19:1-3).
  • King Sennacherib used words to weaken God’s children (2 Chronicles 32:9-19).

Seek the Holy Spirit to overcome Worry and Fear

There is a counter to every kind of evil influence that seek to bind us. It is the invincible influence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Jesus spoke with authority. Word carried power. Delight in God to meditate on the Word of God day and night. When we sincerely read the Bible, we draw the power of God to get us into perspective. The truth in God’s Word cleans us and strengthens us. We get free from worry and fear.

God sent His word and healed. Seek God in prayer for every kind of healing – mental, emotional or physical. When we ask in Jesus’ name, according to His will, He heals us.

The apostles delivered people from evil spirits and healed them in the name of Jesus. Peter and John met the lame man at the Temple gate and healed him in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Every healing the apostles performed was by the power of God that confirms every Word of God.

When we forget our identity in Christ, worry and fear take over, and we believe the lies. Following the trail of truth in every area of your life is the key to an overcoming lifestyle. Follow Jesus. He is the only truth, way, and life. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
