Outfits for the Seasons

To my fellow students that are back to school in person, we may have gotten too comfortable in dressing in pajamas and attending classes with a formal shirt up top and leggings at the bottom, that we don’t really know what to do anymore when it comes to in person interactions. I am here for you, with just a few suggestions on possible outfit ideas to help guide your outfit planning for back to on campus classes.

Beyond this, I believe we can all relate to seeing how sometimes our dressing can link with a mindset shift that helps us tap into our current time and season. We are told to dress how we would like to be addressed. Well this can apply to the time and season of our lives as well. Recently, we can notice the beauty of the Fall leaves and see how things are changing in our physical environment. It can reflect the changes that should be happening internally as well. In writing this piece, I was thinking about the different verses on the importance of time and seasons and thought to share.

May you be blessed and edified with the outfit ideas suggested but much more by the bible verses shared for each outfit.

Concert Night outfit:

Psalm 1:3
“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

Sunday Brunch outfit:

Acts 14:17
“Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”

Day to Day outfit:

Genesis 1:14
“And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,”

Pop of Colour outfit:

Galatians 6:9
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Genesis 8:22
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

Supporting the Cause outfit:

Ecclesiates 3:1
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”

Daniel 2:21
“He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.”

How are you trusting God during this season? How are you preparing yourself for the current time and season? We start by adjusting our dressing with the hope of changing our mindset and eventually being transformed by the renewal of our minds to determine God’s good and perfect will (Romans 12:2) for us in every season of life.

Have a great rest of the year friends!
