Reconcile with God in repentant prayer to overcome haplessness - Raising Generation Zion

I do not feel like a conqueror sometimes. But God says you are an overcomer.

I felt burdened a few days ago on my way to church. It was an evening service. I had slept in the afternoon, watched a video about some minister’s persecution, and some random video on an app. All of these activities drove my spirit into a negative spin. The pattern was clear; I consumed content without guarding my heart.

How to reconcile God’s word with our hapless state?

As I sought the Lord about my state, I reached the church. The first song focused on receiving strength through the anointing of God. By God’s grace, I clung to a few words that jumped out at me. God helped me meditate on it, and slowly all my blues began to disappear.

What a world of a difference when we meditate on God’s word, submitting ourselves in His presence!

All that gloom and doom left me immediately. I got refuelled with divine love and lively hope, a joy that was not of this world and peace that passed all understanding.

The truth in God’s word helped me overcome my feelings. We are overcomers by the blood of the lamb, the living word and the power of His Spirit. What a wonderful work of Grace God has bestowed upon us.

Our feelings will betray us for many reasons. Sometimes we may not know the exact reason at the moment. But know this, God wants His best for you. He has already blessed you with all the spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. Surrender all you have to God. He will revive you to face the world, sin and satan.

God is for us, not against us. Draw close to God, and He will draw closer to you. Jesus is coming. Maranatha, praise God, and amen.
