Sure, you may feel and believe that you are ready at first glance. And quite honestly, all of the signs are there.
You’ve been together long enough. You’ve invested time and money into the relationship. Maybe you’ve started a business or even a family together. Perhaps you moved in together and have been living together for years.

All of those things may seem like reasons to get married to someone. I’m here to tell you that NONE OF THAT MATTERS.
Here’s why: How you play out the relationship will not determine how prepared your relationship actually is. In other words, just because you’ve made moves in your relationship to appear that it can withstand the test of time, does not mean that you and your partner and emotionally, spiritually, and mentally ready to get married.
Ok, then, so what determines if you’re really ready? What should you be aware of within your relationship? How will you know who you’re dating is “the one”?
I’ve gone through my entire life hearing the cliche phrase, “When you know, you’ll know.” But in all honesty, I’ve gone through quite a few relationships in my time. I thought that I was absolutely SURE that the dude I was dating was “the One”. That boy ended up giving me depression, stress, and a broken heart!
