Only God can truly satisfy.

Good day beautiful people

I hope that this post meets you well? Today I write this message from a place of personal growth/development (I’m currently in a process of healing, growth and training). Have you ever been in a place where you literally have everything you need and have dreamt of right at the moment you required, yet still felt a feeling of emptiness? As I write these few words I do acknowledge that I need to develop more of a thankful heart rather than exuding an ungrateful attitude. Buuutt the main lesson which God has been teaching me in this season is ‘only He can satisfy’.

1 Timothy 6:6 ~ Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment,

Loneliness can actually be a beneficial mechanism used to draw our souls back to our first love (God). I’ve come to realise that a large number of relationships/connections cannot bring about complete and total joy in this life. No person can fully satisfy our souls yearning to be acknowledged, loved unfailingly and accepted wholeheartedly. Why? Because only God has the capacity to love a human with such great love which knows no bounds.

So that job, that career progression, all those achievements, that girlfriend, that 6 foot plus man (remember extra inches don’t guarantee an increased level of happiness, a fine looking person can bring you a whole lot of misery), that dream holiday, car, or house can never fully satisfy you. The human heart always ends up craving for more. One usually tends to think along the lines of ‘What next’ once they’ve experienced many of the so called exciting encounters this world has to offer.

Some scriptures to remember

Ecclesiastes 5:10 ~ Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!”

Psalm 107:9 ~ For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

Psalm 90:14 ~ Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

John 4:13-14 ~ Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

^^^ Through God’s precious gift of salvation (through the death and resurrection of God the Son) we have all that we need and will ever need. He has made provision for us for both now and forevermore.

So my advice to you is… Do not put your trust in man. Don’t rely on people or material to be the source of your happiness otherwise you’ll be utterly disappointed. Instead look to God because He will supply you with all of your needs.

Psalm 146:3-5 ~ “Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them. But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.”

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
