    During those 40 days, He appeared to various groups of disciples, proving beyond doubt to them that he had been raised from the dead by the power of God! Over two decades later, the Apostle Paul wrote that “He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living” (1 Corinthians 15:6). But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” John 20:30-31 If you are not sure about trusting God for your salvation or even where to start, this verse is all you need to know to have salvation: “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

  • Let’s Keep Rolling Through This New Year – Pathways to Organization

    Because they haven’t messed up their systems (like a clean fish tank) and as we become adults and as life settles in, we get a little lazy about changing the water. So put yourself out there: Join a Bible study, a Life Group or Sunday school class, the choir or musical group, a sport group like tennis, a political group, join a class at your local college, or start a neighborhood Ladies Night Out! I do know that if you are feeling lethargic and/or depressed these suggestions may be too hard so start small – try to make one phone call to a friend and see how much better you will be.

  • Where is the Light? – Pathways to Organization

    And to us He sent these words, first to Isaiah (60:1-3) and then to us: Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12 Christmas is here to remind us of the Precious Gift God gave to you and me. That yes, there is great darkness and evil but… “If we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” I John 1:7 Jesus came for you and me to walk in light away from the darkness. I pray with all my heart that you have a Christmas full of His light in you so that others will see your light and come to the One who saved us.

  • Voting and Praying for America – Pathways to Organization

    On March 30, 1863 – in the midst of the Civil War – Abraham Lincoln called for a national day of prayer and fasting, in which he addressed what he called the need for “our national reformation as a whole people.” “We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God,” Lincoln said, adding that it was our duty “to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness…” How can we as Americans in 2016 do any less? We don’t need to fear – He is in control: “But it is God who judges; He brings one down, He exalts another.” Psalm 76:7 Jesus said the world would know we are His followers by our love for one another.
