God’s Eternal Economy

New Jerusalem, the holy city, the bride, the wife of the Lamb Jesus Christ is the conclusion of the Bible.

The New Jerusalem is the ultimate destination of the Triune God and the ultimate consummation of the Triune God….The history of the Triune God in carrying out His eternal intention is portrayed in the Bible from eternity past across the bridge of time and into eternity future.*

A summary of the many steps in the Triune God takes in time include:
• the creating God (Gen. 1)
• His incarnation in flesh to be a genuine Man, a God-Man (John 1:14)
• He lived a lowly human life yet with dignity (Isa. 53:3; Phil. 2:6-7)
• He died to take away sin (John 1:29), destroy Satan (Heb. 2:14), judge the world (John 12:31), remove all other negatives, and to create the new man (Eph. 2:15)
• In resurrection He “became a life-giving Spirit” (1 Cor. 15:45)
• He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-10)
• He “sat down on the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb. 12:2)
• He indwells all His believers and operates in them to prepare New Jerusalem (Eph. 5:26)

The content of the Triune God’s autobiography [the Bible] is His eternal economy , which is His eternal intention with His heart’s desire to dispense Himself in His divine Trinity as the Father in the Son by the Spirit into His chosen people to be their life and nature that they may become the same as He is [but not in the Godhead] for His fullness, His expression (1 Tim. 1:3-4; Eph. 1:22-23; 3:19).*

In eternity past only God existed. In eternity future this God with millions of His people, saturated with His life and nature and built together into one corporate person with Him, will fully express Him. This is New Jerusalem “having the glory of God” (Rev. 21:11).
