Every human death is like rape

Down with gilding death

As with rape, it never should have happened.

If, under the circumstances, it wasn’t so bad, those circumstances shouldn’t have existed.

BTW: Most fear of death is not what it seems. It’s just heavy fear. Nothing to do with death.

It’s better to have lived a short time in great agony than never have lived at all, said my teacher Harvey Jackins. Yet, better is never to die.

Hebrew Scripture and the Talmud tell us that we should anticipate the end of death rather than the end in death.

Judaism teaches us we shouldn’t wait until physical immortality ‘happens’ to us, but we should research, hasten, and bring it about.

That implies we should be able to cure all illnesses, undo all handicaps, halt and reverse all aging, feeling disturbed, and being hurtful.

If no one would die anymore from distress, sickness, or aging, it becomes urgent to end death from hunger, war, crime, and climate change.

It’s nice we’re all in the same boat. While mortality has long been praised as humanity’s great equalizer, but so could be physical immortality.

Once death was OK.

The sandwich generation can testify that, while there still is aging, it is very hard to take proper care of the elderly while raising new brood. Also, if the end is well, all is well, and we should witness the end of the end.

So, stop all hunger (poverty, inequality), war (and other killing teaching life is cheap, like capital punishment and animal slaughter), violent crime, nature and climate destruction, and heavily invest in science to reach universal wellbeing, physical fitness, and empathy and generosity.

A tree is known by its fruit. Only this tree has quite a variety of produce, so please don't judge the trunk after one helping.
