Is Obama really a true Christian?

says: ‘therefore shall a man cleave his father and his mother, and cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh’

Democratic Party Presidential hopeful, Obama supports Gay’s rights, including same sex marriage. Many Christians have frown as this and are not convinced of his commitment to Christian teachings. The popular opinion is that Obama, who confesses to be a Christian, refuses to oppose Gays because of their electoral value.

I think the problem with Obama is that he has placed his Presidential ambition above his salvation and Christian virtues. He seems to also have forgotten that God is Ruler of the Universe and the final decision of who becomes the next person of United States of America rests on him.

If I were Obama I would not have compromised my Christian values because of an ambition of becoming the most powerful man on earth. Doesn’t the Bible say what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose its soul?

Has he also forgotten the story in the Book of Daniel of King Nebuchadnezzar, the ever most powerful King on earth who was humbled and turned into a mad man by God as a punishment of his pride?

If I were Obama, I would have sincerely told Gays the stand of God on sexuality, which simply is that the institution of marriage was meant between opposite sex. And that God not only frowns at all forms of sexual immorality but specifically punishes homosexuality heavily as shown in the story of the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brim stone.

Moreover, if I were Obama, I would told Gays that God loves Gays like other sinners and wishes they genuinely come to repentance. The truth is that almost all Gays are not happy with their sexuality and wish they get delivered from it one day.

If I were Obama, I would have associated with Gays, call them my friends, campaigned vigorously for their votes, refrained from stigmatize them, yet refused to support Homosexuality. I would have trusted more in God speaking to their Spirits to vote for me, rather than hoping to win their votes by supporting their ungodliness.

Hoping Obama would realize this by the grace of God, and retrace his steps . Doesn’t the Bible say that we are going to be judged by every idle word we uttered and every activity?
