Turning Mountains into Molehills - Do They See Christ in Me?
Someday the government might outlaw Christianity. The Book of Revelations in the Bible talks about the problems for us in the future. If it became illegal to be a Christian tomorrow, would the authorities find enough evidence to convict you of being a follower of Christ? If an official followed you around from Monday through Saturday, would they see any evidence of Jesus in your life? Do they see Christ in me?
Let’s look.
In Our Homes
Do we see signs of Christ in our homes? Look around. We might have framed Bible verses hanging on our walls. Do you see Christian books scattered across a table? A well worn Bible might sit on the nightstand by our beds. As the family sits down for dinner, do we bow our heads to pray for the food? The television shows we watch might also give clues to our relationship with Jesus or not. Do they see Christ in me?

Do our social media accounts talk more about politics and funny memes than it does about our faith? Imagine if all of us used our social media accounts to share some of the good news of the Gospel, what a difference we could make in our society. Instead, these electronic places are filled with anger and frustrations. We can be the light of God that overcomes the darkness in these domains. Do they see Christ in me?
They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.
In Our Workplaces
I know that many workplaces frown upon sharing the Gospel, but does anyone even know we are a Christian in our offices? What would an investigator find in our cubicles? If they spoke to our coworkers, would they say they witnessed anything about our faith? Like our homes, we might tack a Scripture on a corkboard or post a sticky note on our computers. Is Christ present in our workspaces? Do they see Christ in me?
How we react in stressful situations at work can also say a lot about our faith. If we often fly off the handle, curse, scream, and insult others when mistakes happen, then others are not seeing Christ in us. Our attitudes and demeanor can reflect God without a word uttered about our faith. The peace of Christ permeates our souls and fills us. Do they see Christ in me?
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
In our Cars
Okay, I almost skipped this section because it hits close to home for me. But, can an informant find Christ in us as we drive in rush hour traffic? Do we allow others to go ahead of us, or do we try to cut them off because we are in a hurry? Does our language betray our faith as we drive? If someone watched me as I drove to discover if I were a Christ, they would probably say I am not one. Is Christ found in our cars? Do they see Christ in me?

What do our bumper stickers tell the world about our faith? Is there any evidence to convict us on our cars?
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Conclusion
I designed this post with lots of questions to help us think about how we display Christ in our lives. Being a Christian is much more than going to church on Sunday. We are called to be His light and His salt to the world every day. Our daily living should illuminate Him to those around us. We can share Christ without using words because everyone watches a Christian’s life. I want to be able to proclaim that I can be found guilty of living as a Christian.
But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.
One way the Bible shows us how to live a Godly life is through the Fruits of the Spirits founds in Galatians. When we live these out, the world sees Christ in us.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
