Jeremiah 38 verse 6 & 13

Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.

12 And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.

  1. Jeremiah was a prophet of God that was thrown into a dungeon by his adversaries
  2. There was no water in the dungeon
  3. The dungeon was full of mud
  4. The Bible records that Jeremiah sunk inside the dungeon
  5. In summary, the intention was to kill Jeremiah
  6. The plan of his adversaries was to waste the life of Jeremiah
  7. Jeremiah was supposed to die of hunger and thirst inside the dungeon
  8. But God intervened and raise up one man called Abimelech who persuaded the King to rescue Prophet Jeremiah
  9. The Bible says in Jeremiah 38 vs 13 that Prophet Jeremiah was brought out of the dungeon
  10. The lesson here is that no matter the dungeon of life that your adversaries has prepared for you or perhaps they have succeeded in throwing you into, your God will intervene in Jesus mighty name.
  11. Your life shall not end in the dungeon, God will deliver you and save you. Help is coming in Jesus might name.
