3 Life Asks as You Desire to Grow in Christ - Raising Zion

What do you desire in this life as a believer of the Almighty God? Is your desire for eternal things or temporary, earthly things?

We are spiritual beings in Christ Jesus. Previously, we lived as natural beings, minding only the things of the flesh. Born again, we are now spiritually led by God to strengthen our spirit man to bring the body into subjection. Our desires, when in darkness, craved for fleshly satisfaction. As spiritual, we groan in deep longing to join with Jesus forever.

God does not force feed. He feeds everyone who desires His will. There is nothing better than doing God’s good, acceptable and perfect will.

As a new believer, desire to grow in Christ. What are some things you need to ask in prayer?

1. Desire the sincere milk of God’s word. (1 Peter 2:2)

Every child needs milk. Every spiritual child needs the milk of God’s word. All those who grow into a mature walk in the Word will desire to be water baptised to fulfil the righteousness of God.

2. Without doubting, desire for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and operation of spiritual gifts. (Luke 4:18)

Every child of God or believer is poised to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is God’s promise. Further, Paul encourages believers to seek spiritual gifts.

3. Desire a diligent walk that brings full assurance of the hope of his coming. (Hebrews 6:11)

What’s life if you aren’t going to be serious about it? Every social media motivator talks about consistency and diligence to receive the fruit of your labour on earth. Similarly, we who have everlasting hope should diligently pursue the heart of God daily.

Desire the will of God in your lives. Everlasting joy and peace await in eternity for all who stay faithful till the end.

We are in the end. Jesus will appear anytime now. Prepare yourself to meet Jesus. Praise God, and Amen.
