Hugh Kilpatrick III is a novice cartoonist who is “hanging up” his proverbial T-Square in order to pursue his long-time dream of cartooning. He retired from The University of Alabama in 2013 as Campus Architect in the Construction Administration Department after twenty-two (22) years of service. Prior to coming to the university, Hugh was in private architectural practice in Pensacola, Florida where he and his family resided for eighteen (18) years. As someone once said to him, “Hugh, you may have received your degree from Auburn, but you got your job at Alabama.”
His cartoon panel “BIBLICALLY SPEAKING” represents his views of biblical stories or situations with a humorous slant. The goal of his work is to put a smile on one’s face, and maybe even evoke a chuckle or two. Hope you enjoy his work that is featured in today’s issue.
