This other day the kids and I went to the library, got some books and later on we went to the library park to play, I thought to steal a moment to myself while occasionally glancing at them. I received a call from my sister, while chatting to her I noticed glances from pass by and I translated that as “they probably think I’m a bad mom becomes I’m not spending time with my kids” I then quickly hung up and went to the kids.
Unpopular opinion; Start when you and your child are ready. Hear me out. Potty training is not all about your baby, you need to be ready and onboard as much as they do. Potty training like other milestones and developmental changes, I believe need the parent and child to both...

When I became a parent for the first time and my eldest was approaching her second birthday, I heard the term “terrible twos”.
“The home is not just a place to change clothes between activities and then crash at night; rather it should be a vibrant center of education, industry, service, and worship. God created the home to be a place bursting with activity and conversation, while simultaneously providing peace and refuge.”
Parenting with Grace is challenging me daily to be more conscious of what I say to my children to make sure that what I say does not wound or influence the way they view themselves and the world. One of my main love languages is words of affirmations, I know how words affect my world, one of the gifts of kindness I prayerfully give to my little blessings is speaking gently with them.
I would classify myself as a busy person. I am a full-time stay-at-home mom, I work from home, I’m a low-key traditional homemaker, I also homeschool my two kids which mostly takes up a lot of time. With everything I do that is motherhood-related, work appointments, wife duties, church, productivity can seem impossible sometimes. I used to struggle a lot with being productive after becoming a mom until I started on these tips. Getting things done with little humans at home can seem impossible, but it can be done.

It all began to make sense, the blank stares, the lack of response, the way one of the kids will walk into the room while I’m on the phone and ask to be taken to the store. Inside I’m thinking, ‘Can’t you see I’m on the phone?’
“Motherhood is a choice you make every day, to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you’re not sure what the right thing is…and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong.” Donna Ball
I have been a WAHM (Work at Home Mum) since the birth of my 4-year old which is the year 2016 and as a health enthusiast staying healthy is my priority. I do not only eat healthily, but I also workout to stay saint. Any mother out there can attest that motherhood is a mere walk in the park therefore one cannot attend to every day’s needs without finding ways to recharge or refuel their energy. Working out has been one of the best ways that have helped me recharge, refuel and refocus my energies so when Adidas asked me to write about my At-Home workout and How I stay mentally motivated during this time to stay active, I couldn’t be happier to share my favorite at-home exercise workouts.
I’m a firm believer that everything I go through, Every milestone I achieve has lessons for me to learn from.
(Please note that this post was written when I was still pregnant with baby #2, in my third trimester)

Breastfeeding is one of the things I looked forward to as soon as I found out I was going to be a mom. I had witnessed all my sisters and cousins breastfeed their little ones and from then I knew I wanted to breastfeed my own children one day. I read all I could get my hands on about breastfeeding and I was prepared, however when I searching for information about weaning my little one, there wasn’t much I came across that could somewhat prepare me for the emotional turmoil I was still to face.
From the moment I entered this world and you have been here ready to love me unconditionally. You were and still are an answer to the prayer I was not wise enough to pray. You’re the shoulder I always freely lean on. I can’t seem to envision how life would have turned out if you weren’t a part of it. Through all the good and bad, laughter, heartbreaks, ups and downs you have always been there.

This is an awesome opportunity to meet a new blogger friend and in the spirit of kindness shower each other with gifts. For the swap, we will each send 12 gifts and in return receive 12 gifts, each to be opened in the 12 days leading up to Christmas day, starting from the 12th of December until the 12rd of December.

“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about”
“Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him.”
Mom life is not as easy as it looks in pictures, it can get lonely, overwhelming and leave you feeling down and out. In those hard days a pick-me-up verse is what keeps me sane and at peace. These verses may not instantly change the situation but they sure do uplift my spirit and give me hope that it will change, I then am able to look forward to a better day, tomorrow.

Few months after my husband and I got married, some people started asking us when we having a baby. *rolls her eyes* we just smiled and continued with our lives.
Our bundle of joy made her debut into the world on August 27th, 2016. Holding her in my arms took longer than I anticipated, I am so grateful she is here.
