I have a relative who grew up in the same area as myself. As an adult, she took a job that required her to live in many different parts of the United States. She would spend three to six months in each location before moving on to the next. Everywhere she lived, she would pick […]
I have very poor eyesight. Without my contact lenses or eyeglasses, everything is just a blur of colors and fuzzy shapes. Recently my cornea was scratched when something blew in my eye and became trapped under my contact lens. In order for the cornea to heal, I cannot wear my contacts, so I’ve been wearing […]
I awoke this morning with a feeling of excitement at the possibilities that lay before me. I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY and still live in the same area. I always had a love for writing, was involved in the school newspapers and yearbook, and took as many English and Writing classes as possible in school. After graduating from high school, I attended the Newhouse School of Public Communications on a scholarship, but soon changed my major to Music Education and transferred to SUNY Potsdam to attend the Crane School of Music. After graduation, I married my high school sweetheart, and best friend, and soon began our family. We were blessed with two wonderful children, a daughter and a son, and spent the next 18 years raising them. We home schooled both of them through high school and brought them up in the Lord. I was blessed with the opportunity to use my education when I began the first home school concert band in New York State. The band was under my direction for the next seven years, until my children both were in college.
