    The Audacity of Your Anointing

You are not worthy of Him, and yet you are worthy because of him.You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Bold because of how He absolutely loves you.For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This is why the Blood is necessary, so we might honor him with the purging of our sin and our acceptance of the weight of the call from the One who sent us.Low self-esteem is not acceptable under the anointing.Jesus makes all thing new.The Blood of Jesus makes you worth the effort. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit have given you their seal of approval. The audacity!

    An Enterprising Woman

Sounds like the church of today. And the Twelve [apostles] were with Him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had been expelled; and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager; and Susanna; and many others, who ministered to and provided for Him and them out of their property and personal belongings. Mary Magdalene was the to experience the glory of a risen savior and the first called by him to preach the gospel, "He is risen!" Heaven trusts women with sacred things.Boldly Going Where No One Has Gone Before en•ter•pris•ing (ˈɛn tərˌpraɪ zɪŋ) adj. Today, we speak the names of women representing the trust imparted by our Heavenly Father to his beloved daughters, to those whose enterprising spirits set us free to do the unimaginable through, for, and in Christ Jesus: Mary Magdalene She was a woman labeled and limited by society because of where she grew up.

    The Cost of Excellence

With the Word you save.Thank you, Jesus, for covering the cost so we might live in your excellence. We are unworthy of you, yet worth because of you.You Have Big Shoes to Fill Despite recent advancements, living as a woman - and more importantly as a woman of God - still has great challenges. Be about it.It is time to walk in your worth. Are you living out life shouting "I'm a big girl" as you flop, fall, then leave those grown-folks' heels on the floor only to go and play some other game, or are you focused on navigating and balancing who you are now while growing into who you are destined to be? ~1 Peter 2:9a, English Standard VersionWalk in a good work ethic.Walk with compassion.Walk in loyalty.Walk in consistency.Walk in your capacity to lead, and build, and grow, and love all at the same timeknowing all that you are and can ever hope to be came at a cost through Christ.Living a Redeemed LifeJesus, our Great Kinsman Redeemer, paid the price for your excellence and your pursuit of it.

    CALM. DOWN.

Food for the soul.We see it in the abundance of two fish and five loaves, the sweet communion of the Upper Room, the breaking apart of bread by hands with nail holes, the aroma of fish cooking on the shore.Christ continually and intentionally demonstrates how engaging our physical appetite’s need for touch, smell, taste opens our ears to satisfy the appetite of our faith. ~Romans 10:17, New International VersionNourishment in his hands calms our nerves.Broken bread at his fingertips breaks strongholds of stress.Through those “sup with him” moments, he who is the Truth and the Life shared life-altering, life-affirming truths with the disciples. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ” ~Revelations 3:18-22, new King James VersionComplacency, even in the context of food, deafens us our capacity to receive God’s counsel and answer his divine call.

    Jesus, Who are You?

It should remind us that regardless of one’s educational accomplishments, degrees or pedigrees, we all still have a lot to learn about Christ. This year, I pray we all mature to respect our lack of eternal knowledge while continuing to seek out the fullness of God.The piece below is an excerpt from my book, GOD ‘n You: Finding your Place in Forever. May the child in me never lose curiosity about her Heavenly Father:I do not know if anyone can ever be fully prepared to go beyond the veil of our presumptions when it comes to God, but I had to try.

    A Hardwired Faith

(Photo: Unsplash) A LIVING SACRIFICE When school shootings are commonplace, how do we live for God? What does faith look like now? When Faith Feels Different Can you feel it? There is Power in Your Placement

THE CONTEXTWe all need a safe place to be human.Having the strength to do the works of the Lord should be the desire of every Christian yet it must still be done through an earthen vessel. Elijah’s strength of character provoked the heart of God, prompting the summon of angels on Elijah’s behalf:All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.”He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. But this kind of covering only comes when we answer the call on our lives.Having the strength to live at a loss for Christ positions us to live in the fullness of Christ and receive power for the journey ahead.Looking for God?“What are you doing here, Elijah?” The Lord asked Elijah this question twice; once while he was still inside the cave and again after Elijah in reverence of the Almighty covered his face and stood on the mountain.

    Should God Have to Wait?

I thank God that God is a patient God, but even his patience wears thin. You Say You Want to Live in His Presence…Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. #2Sacrifices must come from a pure place and not be agenda-driven.#3Any sacrifice that meets the first two criteria will elevate your adoration of Christ beyond the praise and worship hour on Sundays to an authentic, daily rhythm of appreciative reflection exposing itself through thought and deed.If you want to live in his presence, this is what it looks like. Getting Our Houses in Order”How much is too much?””What will I have to give up to give God this?””What will my obedience cost me?” “Will it be worth it?”When we take this approach about sacrifice, we are not actually questioning the investment of time nor the investments of talent, treasure, or temple.
