Memorise: “The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself” (Proverbs 14:14)

Read: Hosea 4:15-17

There are several baits a believer should be wary of or else that fellow would fall into Satan’s trap.

They are; love of money, lust of the flesh, shunning godly counsel, harboring an unforgiving spirit and seeking for power outside God. Another bait is spiritual lukewarmness. It is very dangerous.

When you used to fly in private and public prayer in times past but you are now crawling, beware! Spiritual death is around the corner.

If you have attained a height or location where spiritual things no more interest you, or you get easily bored studying the Bible, giving, paying your tithe, evangelizing or you now enjoy the company of those you once hated after your salvation experience, you need deliverance. The full effect of backsliding does not come suddenly: it comes gradually.

Proverbs 14:14 says, “The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself”.

Backsliding starts from the heart. It is possible to backslide so slowly that you may never notice. One way you will notice that you are backsliding is when you are filled with so much of yourself and less of God.

When you are getting so self-conscious and self-conceited, you can be sure you have little or nothing left of God.

If you are depending more on your wisdom, abilities or connection, you are backsliding. Repent and return to God.

Before you can be delivered, you must first realize your need for deliverance. To be free, you must release or let go everything Satan has used in luring you into his trap.

Restitute anything in your life that contradicts God’s Word and perfect will. Ask yourself, “what is it in me that is attracting the devil?”

Every evil magnet in my life attracting evil, temptation and sin, Father destroy it from the root.
