Thankful Thought of the Day:
When we deserved punishment, our God gave us mercy and comfort, instead.
Scripture of the Day:
Isaiah 12:1
“You will say in that day: “I will give thanks to you, O LORD, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.”
Being in trouble is never a good feeling. And let’s face it – we all miss the mark. The Bible says that no one is good, no not one – and that we all fall short of God’s glory. BUT God. I love those two words. God intervened on our behalf when we were guilty and caught in our sin. Instead of anger, God had compassion. Mercy triumphed over judgment.
Feeling guilty? Run to the Father. Our flesh wants to hide, but our God calls us near to Himself so we can be healed from our waywardness.
