Read Luke 13:22-30 The Narrow Door

Dear Sister Disciple,

Some people will tell you that there’s not much to be a Christian. You have to believe, go to church, and read the Bible. Trust me; it’s not that easy. The truth is we have to pass through the narrow door, and no one will fit when they’re fat with inactivity.

Someone is going to teach, and there will be voices to instruct you. But, unfortunately, there’s a wide door right open on the internet with sound doctrine, corruption, and an arsenal of lies. 

How are we going to discern the truth ?

Jesus moved from town to town. He wasn’t in a hurry, but He was no tourist either. Jesus had a purpose and a mission. He taught so all who came would listen.

He went through one town and village after another, teaching and making His way to Jerusalem. “Lord,” someone asked Him, “are there few being saved.” He said to them, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and won’t be able once the Homeowner gets up and shuts the door. Luke 13:22-25a

He will answer you, “I do not know you…” Luke 13:25b

We will discern the narrow door by discerning God’s word and seeing life from His eyes. Incline your ear to listen and lean in to learn, for the Holy Spirit is passing through towns and villages to teach – the door is open to salvation.

As sister disciples, there is no such thing as active, passive involvement. Either you’re in, or you’re out. There’s only one door, and it is narrow. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Tragedy strikes the hearts of those who watch from the outside as the Homeowner closes the door. 

Four Words

There are four words no Christian wants to hear from the Lord. Four words that bring heart hurt and soul sorrow: “I know you not.”

The reconciled of the Lord freely enters through the narrow door. But, unfortunately, the world continues to lie, saying, “There’s no help for him in God.” 

All around you are false teachers ready to set your feet on their path and walk you through the wide door. Instead, let us strive for the truth and actively enter into His truth. 

LORD, how my foes increase! Many attack me. Many say about me, “There is no help for him in God…” Salvation belongs to the LORD; may Your blessing be on Your people. Psalm 3:1-2 & 8

Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord. Blessed are those who hear Him say, “I know you and where you come from. Come and enter into my rest. 

You who pass through the narrow door belong to the Lord!
