Making Room for Gratitude: Day 20 - Denise Pass

Thankful Thought of the Day:

We could never do enough to earn our righteousness, so God chose to be our righteousness.

Scripture:

Psalm 7:17

“I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.”

The religions of the world worship according to their religion’s demands, striving to earn their righteousness with good works. But we who are in Christ worship a living God Who laid down His life for us. We could never do enough to earn our righteousness, so God chose to be our righteousness.

When we fall short, God invites us to call upon His Name to enable us to walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh. Thank God that He does not choose us according to our performance, but according to His mercy.
