How to succeed when on a business mission

1. By way of definition a mission is an objective, course of action, goal, activity, desire, or achievement. A mission can be academic, financial, business, marital, or spiritual.
2. In Numbers 13, Moses sent 12 spies to explore the promised land and Joshua 2, Joshua sent 2 spies on a mission-to explore the promised land. The first mission was partially successful, the second was successful.
3. Numbers 13 King James Version (KJV) And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying ² Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.And Moses by the commandment of the Lord sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
4. Joshua 2 vs 1…And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there’.
5. Lesson 1: Gather Information. Moses and Joshua gathered information. Don’t embark on any business until you are fully armed with information to improve your knowledge. A mission is not a blind date. Don’t embark on a blind mission. Gather information, gather data, gather knowledge, know the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors. If you stumble into any biz, you will likely stumble out.
6. Lesson 2: Secure God approval. Ensure God approves your mission and His presence of God goes with you. God helped the spies to succeed. God factor is important in your formula for success and equation for success.
7. Lesson 3: You will not be stranded. God used an unbeliever to save lives. If you are on a godly mission, you will never be stranded, even a sinner to help or bless you. God will raise helpers for you.
8. Lesson 4: Have faith in God that sent you. In Numbers 13 and14, 12 men went on a mission but only two of them Joshua and Caleb believed in their God. The 10 believed in the devil, brought an evil report, and evil fell on them.
9. Lesson 5: Don’t compromised yourself, uphold your integrity, and stay focused. The two spies stayed in the house of Rahab, slept in a brothel but they did not allow themselves to be distracted. If they have taken advantage of the situation and behaved like Samson they could have failed in their mission.
10. Lesson 6: Bind the word and blood on yourself. In Joshua 2 vs 18 the spies asked the prostitute to bind a line of scarlet thread on her window, she and her family would be saved from impending destruction by Israelites. The scarlet line is symbolic of the blood of Jesus. If you bind the word of God and blood of Jesus on your life, you will be divinely protected anytime you go on a mission
11. Lesson 7: Intercede for your loved ones on missions. If your parents especially father or husband is on a mission, you need to intercede for him for success, because the outcome may affect every member of his family. The children of Israel perished in the wilderness because they listened to the evil reports of the 10 spies. It was not only the 10 spies that perished but also their wives and children.
12. Lesson 8: If you are on mission make the right confessions. What you confess is what Heaven will give to you. When the children of Israel kept speaking death, and destruction to themselves in the name of complaints, God told them in Numbers 14:28-29 that they will receive what they have been saying. ²⁸ Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

²⁹ Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me.

1. Lesson No 9: You are an overcomer. If you are on a mission, you will surely encounter physical and spiritual opposition but believe in your God to overcome.

• God hid them from their enemies
• God caused their enemies fake news on your progress
• Their pursuers could not find them
• The terror of God felled on their pursuers
• Their pursuers missed road and missed them

1. Lesson 10: Your ultimate mission is to make heaven. You need to pray that you will not fail in you mission to heaven in Jesus name
