The War On Our bodies - Impacting Righteously

In this post, I will address some chronic, obscured attacks on our wellness. This is a long post, but please bear with me. These are some facts you may not learn at your doctor’s office. I am going to be addressing health in general, but in particular, women’s health in this post. If there are any men reading, you may (or may not) want to bypass this one! Some people may already be aware of the information I will provide.

Knowledge is power, and a lack of it leads to destruction. Some people are still kept largely in the dark about nutrition, as it relates to overall well-being. To put it in matter of fact terms, there are an awful lot of women and young girls who are suffering from physical ailments in their bodies. Many of these issues have to do with the reproductive system.

Estrogen dominance appears to be one major contributor in women’s health problems. Real, natural estrogen is very important and beneficial for both men and women, but it needs to be in balance, as God intended it to be.

Estrogen mimickers found in the environment are another story and are harmful. There are many toxins we are consuming, and many of these toxins mimic estrogen, according to experts. This is causing men and women to have too much estrogen in their bodies.

At the end of this post, I will place links to informative articles about how and why people are toxic. I will also leave info on some healthcare professionals that rightfully focus on nutrition for healing and maintaining wellness.

I thank God for doctors and other healthcare professionals. I’m also grateful for the ones that don’t focus mainly on nature’s cures.These professionals are still very necessary and beneficial in their own right.

Wellness in spirit, mind, and body is of the utmost importance. God does care about how we take care of ourselves physically. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10: 31. KJV

Much of women’s physical suffering is related to their reproductive system. Hormonal imbalance and toxins are major culprits. Some are going into menopause at young ages due to synthetic hormones they have been prescribed to treat their issue(s).

Nutrition can also affect when a woman goes into menopause. Some children go into puberty too early. Many women have ongoing discomfort/ pain and have unnatural conditions in their bodies that they are trying to cope with. They are being misinformed by professionals who address and treat their symptoms, but do not address and attack the root cause.

I know of many women who have conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, PMS, and painful menstrual cycles. I FIRMLY believe these are all man-made conditions.

Sadly, there are doctors who are aware that women often develop these health problems, but they do not warn women ahead of time during their office visits when they are younger. Instead, they wait for the problem(s) to arise and aim to diagnose and treat the symptoms. To be proactive is best. I wish I had known sooner about these conditions and how lifestyle and dietary changes can make a big, positive difference.

Girls and women are sometimes programmed to believe that we are defective right from the start. In some religious circles, women and girls are mocked, ridiculed for Eve being deceived in the Garden of Eden. We know that one consequence of the fall is having sorrow; pain in childbirth. We have also been told that a woman’s menstrual cycle is a result of the curse.

The reality is, we do not know that the menstrual cycle is part of a curse. The Bible specifically mentions the ground being cursed. If the woman’s body is cursed, I believe that would have been specified as well.

I know it to be a necessary process that happens monthly when a woman does not conceive. In addition, many of us have been told that it is normal for menstruation to be painful, as a result of the punishment for Eve.

When a girl or woman is told that her pain is a normal punishment given to her by God, she probably won’t question it. Her pain becomes normalized. When she is made to feel as if she is secondary, less than, and defective for the processes that her body goes through, she is likely to be a lot more accepting of complications that arise. The truth of the matter is that menstrual cycles are not supposed to be painful.

Are women’s reproductive health problems God’s punishment?

I was one of those girls who was told that menstruation was part of the curse. For so long, I didn’t know that it was abnormal to have a painful menstrual cycle. Not until recently did I discover that by changing my lifestyle and nutrition, it would take away the pain.

I wanted to write this post, because women need knowledge and encouragement. Many are very misinformed. Previously, every month I had to take over-the-counter medication for cramps, and then I would be fine. However, I prefer not to have to take anything for pain.

Menstrual cycles are not supposed to be painful or heavy. If the pain was punishment from God, why would we be able to alter it by changing our nutrition and lifestyles? Ladies often go through a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering when it comes to both relationships and our health.

I think some women tend to be docile, passive, too trusting or accepting of what we are told, and too accepting of bad circumstances. A more investigative, rightfully suspicious mind would be helpful in certain cases.

The devil is in the details.

There are many different ways that the adversary attacks women. One such way is sneaky attacks on our body, using everyday products and necessities (such as food and hygiene items) as a weapon.

God has set up the process of menstruation, but the enemy has found a way to make it much more difficult than it has to be. As consumers, we are victims of manufacturers and money loving people who at our expense make their profit. A lot of money is made off of women’s and all people’s health problems.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6: 10.

It boils down to greed and love of money.

Manufacturers want mass production so that they can keep selling large quantities of products and services. When it comes to livestock, some animals are given certain treatments to make them grow quickly and bigger.

The same goes for poultry. Often, cows are given antibiotics, extra hormones. God knows what they are being fed when they are not organically pasture-fed. Then, people consume these animals that are toxic. There are toxins all over the place, including in our food, water supplies, the air we breathe, cosmetics we use, etc.

Non-organic vegetables and fruits are commonly full of pesticides. These toxins are wreaking havoc on the female body. These toxins are wreaking havoc on people in general, but women have a unique and complex reproductive system that is very expressive in the manifestation of the toxic state of the overall body.

I believe one reason women’s reproductive system so clearly expresses toxicity is the fact that women’s bodies are made to create / grow something. The baby grows in the womb. When there are toxins, other things can grow. The womb is like a garden, and depending on what we put in our body, the womb can begin to grow things that manifest a toxic state of being.

What about men? How do toxins affect men?

When it comes to men, they also suffer from the toxins, but they do not have the same outlet of expression that women do. This is in part, because they do not have our complex reproductive system. Often, men’s and women’s livers and kidneys are overworked to purge toxins.

However, these are not the organs likely to express so clearly in a “benign” way that something is wrong. It is the female reproductive system that expresses very clearly that something is wrong in a more obvious way. On one hand, this is a blessing.

In a woman’s body, it is not the liver that typically expresses toxicity in such an obvious way, but it is the uterus and other reproductive organs that gives women problems, letting them know to make lifestyle changes. Both men and women are toxic, but women get more symptoms expressed in their reproductive system.

As for men, not only do they not have a monthly purge, but they are sometimes more asymptomatic in their toxicity overall. They may or may not know about and address their health issues, which could be one reason why some do not live as long as some women. Sometimes, there are diseases found in both men and women, such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney failure, etc., that show a toxic state of being.

In fact, most dialysis patients I know are men, but both men and women suffer in this way. I understand there is a genetic component to some diseases, but I believe the nutritional factors are severely downplayed. For example, a lot of people who have kidney failure have high blood pressure and or are diabetic. These conditions can be greatly and positively affected by nutritional changes.

I have heard reports of young men in their twenties and thirties suffering from sexual dysfunction with increasing incidence. The idea is that this is a result of drugs, alcohol, and pornography use, which indeed are very likely factors. At the same time, with so many toxins and estrogen dominance, that could also be part of the problem.

I cannot be sure. I have known of a few men who died (without explanation, as far as I know) in their late forties and early fifties. I do not know why they died, and others I spoke to did not seem to know why either. That is too young. It is possible they had known or unknown toxicity that contributed to their death.

By that age, many women have been having reproductive problems, and some have properly addressed their health as a result. That is, when they don’t listen to the wrong information and get an unnecessary hysterectomy or other surgery that is unnecessary. In many (not all) cases, all they would have had to do is change their diet and lifestyle.

God has given us preventative medicine in nature, as well as curative medicine found in nature. Yes, our food is medicine.

God created our bodies so that if we give them the right tools- meaning the right nourishment He has provided, the body often will mend itself. It is also very important to minimize stress. This may mean disassociation with certain people and letting go of certain situations and activities.

I used to have quite painful menstrual cycles for many, many years. Now I don’t even need to take over-the-counter pain medication anymore.

When I went to the doctor, they wanted to put me on synthetic hormones. They wanted to put me on birth control. Birth control in and of itself is reported to cause health problems for a woman. Many women are going to the doctor and being diagnosed with conditions and are told they need artificial medicine and or surgery.

I understand that not every case is the same, and some women may happen to be in a situation so severe or so far progressed, that they may want relief immediately. They may opt for surgery. However, in many situations, if a woman changes her lifestyle, her body will begin to heal.

Being bloated, having mood swings, cysts, tumors, abnormal cravings, heavy menstrual cycles and pain are not a normal part of being a woman.

Some people accept these conditions as part of being female. No! The culprit is hormonal imbalance and toxicity creating many of the health conditions in women.

To become healthier, these are some of the things that I eliminated or greatly reduced:

Processed food.

Non-organic fruits and vegetables.

GMO foods.

Sugar/ chocolate.

Okay, I will admit there are times I don’t do so well with cutting back on sugar, but I’m trying! Sugar is very inflammatory, which is terrible for hormones and health!

Dairy products.

I use non-dairy creamer for coffee and still allow myself to have ice cream very infrequently. I don’t desire ice cream often, so it is fine. I have learned to really enjoy SoDelicious coconut milk based “ice cream,” especially their mint chocolate chip flavor. I do still bake with goat milk and regular butter. I like to cook with plant butter and olive oil or grapeseed oil.

Conventional meat/ poultry.

My palate changed, and I lost my appetite for meat in general, except for very occasionally. Once in a while, I like to opt for grass-fed beef and free-range chicken fed a vegetarian diet.

Soy

There are conflicting reports on benefits and harmful side effects of soy, but I have decreased my consumption.

Caffeine.

I love my coffee, but I use non-dairy creamer in it about 95% of the time. I have tried plant milk, but don’t like it so far in my coffee. I usually have my coffee with 25% caffeinated coffee and 75% decaf. If I order coffee out, I usually ask for half-caff. Excess caffeine is terrible for hormones, and I can tell the positive difference, since I decreased my caffeine intake.

Store-bought baked goods.

I began to bake from scratch and have grown to appreciate home-baked goods a lot more than store-bought ones. This is great, because homemade doesn’t have the artificial flavors and preservatives that store-bought stuff tends to have.

The ingredient list for what I bake is about six to eight items, as opposed to 15 to 20 on the ingredient list of some of the store-bought items. In addition, I really think mine tastes better!

I realize the importance of the following:

• Optimum liver health. This is crucial. It is very helpful to research herbs for improving liver function. The healthy liver is an expert at pushing out excess estrogen.

• Citrus foods.

• Also, any foods or herbs that will rid the body of excess mucus. These kinds of foods can and should be researched.

• Getting plenty organic fruits and organic vegetables.

Getting plenty (enough) fiber! It makes a huge, positive difference when the time of month comes if a woman or girl is not constipated! I also understand that plenty fiber helps to push out excess estrogen.

• Staying hydrated always, but in particular, during that time of the month. There is a need to drink extra fluids. This is very important and helpful. Not only does it help prevent one from feeling faint or dizzy, but it helps reduce cramping.

• Getting enough sleep. Poor sleeping habits and patterns can affect hormones, which effect the reproductive system and the body overall.

• Replacing plastic storage containers with glass containers as much as possible.

• A good quality water filter.

I have a Brita one, but perhaps I can get a reverse osmosis or some other more efficient one.

• I make sure that in addition to catching rays of sunshine, I consume Vitamin D3 supplements regularly, and take magnesium, as well as an occasional B complex vitamin.

• I have recently learned that reishi, maitake and other mushrooms are very good for hormonal balance. There are teas and powders out there for people who do not eat mushrooms. Personally, I dislike mushrooms!

What goes on our skin is just as important or maybe more important than what goes into our mouths. What we breathe in is also important.

• I ditched most artificially fragranced hygiene products such as shampoo, lotions, and soaps that contain phthalates, parabens, sulfates, etc.

• I opt instead for essential oil and plant-based/vegan products more commonly now. They smell wonderful, too! I have some really wonderful smelling vegan perfumes. One company I really like is a company called Good Chemistry.

• Although I have not done it yet, I want to replace my candles with vegan ones. Some candles are soy-based, and I’m not sure yet if I can get plant-based ones that are not soy-based.

What if your mother or other family members had any of the conditions? Is it genetic to have female reproductive issues? I am no health care professional. There could indeed be a genetic component to these health problems. In fact, this is what the professionals will tell you.

However, I don’t believe that genetics plays the biggest role. It would not surprise me if people’s mothers and relatives had these issues, because they were most likely toxic as well! How can you not be toxic as an average consumer? It is good to get advice from your doctor, but I find it very important not to downplay our own observations of our body as we experiment with making dietary changes.

Before making any life-altering decisions, it is a good idea to ask your healthcare professional for their opinion, and also for any appropriate testing.

Hormonal imbalance resulting from toxicity is the cause of many women’s conditions. Even menopause doesn’t have to be unpleasant, but so many women are hormonally imbalanced, toxic, and their health care professionals are likely not explaining this to them. Lots of women accept menopause to be a stressful time, as if that is the way it is supposed to be.

Typically, professionals just treat the symptoms for it. There are many wonderful herbs and herbal teas, seeds, and other foods that can help detox and help balance hormones. Cruciferous vegetables are supposedly very good for helping with these health issues. This suits me, because I love most cruciferous vegetables. It is great that we have a lot of information available and can do our own research.

To help balance hormones, I also on occasion consume liver cleansing herbs such as milk thistle, dandelion root, and burdock. I pace myself, because I do not want to overload my system or detox too fast. A healthy liver is very important to a woman’s reproductive system and to any person overall. The properly functioning liver helps to clear out excess estrogen as well as numerous other toxins.

Traditional Chinese medicine could also be something useful to look into. I basically use my new knowledge, listen to, and observe my body. I pair this with common sense, and I’ve been able to take pretty good care of myself. It is also a good idea to look up natural and food-based aromatase inhibitors for anyone with symptoms of estrogen dominance.

It is not as if I am doing a bunch of extra work by making these changes. It has become a lifestyle change, so it is the norm now. My hope is that individuals will become well-informed and make the best decisions for themselves. My prayer is that each of us will have wellness in spirit, mind, and body. There is probably going to always be an argument about the benefits of dairy. Dairy is a big moneymaker. Calcium can be found in vegetables, such as leafy greens and even other vegetables, so we do not need milk to have calcium.

Some people love dairy. So did I. To each their own. I noticed negative consequences of consuming dairy, such as nausea and pain, and have noticed the great improvement since I greatly decreased dairy consumption.
