How to walk in freedom in this world? - Raising Zion

walk in freedom

Freedom is the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Before sin, we had freedom. There was nothing or no one stopping us from doing what we wanted. We were limited only by our capacity to think or do. Of course, God needed to be present to guide us because He created us. Sin toppled the free and abundant lifestyle. Sin entered because of the liar who deceived Eve.

Today, who can walk free? Only those who have found the truth.

3 attributes of believers who walk in freedom

1. Know this race is certain (1 Corinthians 9:26)
2. Preach the sure word of God (John 6:69)
3. Discipline your flesh to protect your heart (1 Corinthians 9:27)

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

1 corinthians 9:26,27

When you know the race you run is certain, you will never worry about your future. The only certain, perfect future mankind has, is in Jesus. There is no other. You are free from the worries of this world.

We cannot speak confidently about everything under the Sun because laws and cultures keep changing in the world. God’s word is the only perfect and eternal word. We can now freely preach or speak THE ONE thing we know for a fact is true – Jesus.

To be faithful in the above two, we need to discipline our flesh from fighting against Gods work in our lives. We need to keep ourselves pure. Preserve our consecration. Walk according to God’s calling in our life. Discipline our heart from straying away. Let the anointing of love overflow. God’s love keeps us free and pure.

Let love be our victorious banner everyday. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
