Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life – Part 3

In Part 1 and Part 2 of “Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life” we studied how Jesus wants to fill you with many spiritual riches. And how Jesus wants to give you a full and abundant life. The world offers many things that seemingly lead to an abundant and full life filled with meaning, purpose, joy, peace, happiness… But nothing in the world can give you what Jesus can. Only Jesus can truly give you abundant life. And also eternal life in heaven.

Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life

Not only can Jesus provide you with abundant life, He very much wants to. Jesus wants you to have abundant life full of the treasures only He can provide. Fulfillment, satisfaction, meaning, purpose, love, joy, peace, rest, guidance, wisdom… And there is much more that Jesus wants to give you.

Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life

Here are more of the great treasures that Jesus wants to give you. In addition to all of the great treasures that we have already talked about in Part 1 and Part 2 of “Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life”.

Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life – He Will Meet All Of Your Other Needs

Whatever you need Jesus wants to supply it. And He wants to supply it in overflowing abundance. The mistake most people make are they do not recognize that Jesus is the only One who can supply all of these things.

Most people look to the things of the world, or to other people to supply them. And sooner or later they find out that the things of the world promise many things, but rarely ever deliver. And the result is disappointment, discouragement, bitterness, and hopelessness.

Here are more of the spiritual riches that make up abundant life that Jesus wants to provide.

Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life

Jesus Provides Salvation

John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”

(also read 3:16, 14:6; Acts 4:12, 16:30-31; Romans 6:23, 10:9-10)

Jesus Provides Forgiveness

I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

(also read Isaiah 43:25, Psalm 103:12, Proverbs 28:13)

Jesus Provides Strength

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 “Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me – to keep me from exalting myself ! Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Philippians 4:12-13 “I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Jesus Provides Contentment

Philippians 4:11-13 “Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

1 Timothy 6:6-8 “But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.”

Jesus Provides Power

John 15:5 ” I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”

Jesus Provides Comfort

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Jesus Wants You To Have Abundant Life

Jesus Provides Help

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”

Hebrews 13:5-6 “Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have. For He Himself has said, ” I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we confidently say, ” The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.”

(also read Psalm 54:4, Psalm 46:1)

Jesus Empowers & Provides Confidence

2 Corinthians 3:4-6 “Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

Jesus Provides Victory

2 Corinthians 2:14 “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”

(also read Exodus 17:10-15, 2 Chronicles 20:6,12,17; Proverbs 21:31)

Jesus Provides Hope

Hebrews 6:17-19 “In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

(also read Psalm 38:22, 42:5, 71:4-5)

Go to Jesus with all of your needs and all you lack. And go to Jesus with your hurts and wounds. And most importantly go to Jesus for salvation and forgiveness for your sins. Jesus Christ will never let you down. And He will transform you and your life so that you will have the full abundant life Jesus promised.
