Actors Colin Ford, Rose Reid on Bulls, Barrel Racing and 'A Thousand Tomorrows'

Rose Reid, Colin Ford in ‘A Thousand Tomorrows’

DALLAS – The world of competitive rodeo can be an exhilarating platform to test the skill and speed of cowboys and cowgirls all done with a high degree of wit, tenacity, and a cloud of dust. It can also be a rough and tumble world of broken dreams, lost love, and hard knocks.

In the new six-episode Pure Flix dramatic series A Thousand Tomorrows (streaming now), Cody Gunnar (Colin Ford) is a nationally-known bull rider known for his cockiness, bravado, and relentless pursuit to win. Along the way, he has cast aside anything and everything related to his past – his famous father, a long-suffering mother, and any woman who has ever tried to draw close to him. That is until he meets rising barrel racer Ali Daniels (Rose Reid).

Ali is everything that Cody isn’t. She is warm, compassionate … and struggling with a life-threatening disease that she has chosen to keep private. Despite her health struggles, she and Cody draw close, falling in love amid bulls, barrels, and the bright lights of professional rodeo.

Together they face one of life’s greatest challenges, with Cody not knowing how many tomorrows his soulmate has left. Only God knows, something that fuels their love story as Cody learns that faith is what can sustain him through love and loss.

I recently sat down with actors Colin Ford and Rose Reid, who play Cody and Ali respectively, to discuss the life-changing messages found in A Thousand Tomorrows, the emerging popularity of the rodeo, and how faith can restore your soul when all seems lost.
