Going Deeper in our PowerClubs!

2016

This year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary of PowerClubs. This vision was birthed in urgency to meet a need for a quick and effective way to train leaders to take kids into a deeper walk with God. It has grown from sixteen original clubs to over 1000 in 22 countries. Over time it has assumed a significant place in the overall vision of Kids in Ministry International. After ten years she realized we are not looking for numbers. We are looking for depth.

PowerClubs are to become much more than they now are. They are to be the link to building a church full of men, women and kids who know their God and will do exploits (Daniel 11:32).We will explore what it will take to meet this challenge. Thus the theme of this year’s conference “Going Deeper” was derived.

Pamela Ayres, a children’s minister for nearly 20 years, was the originator of the concept of launching PowerClubs in the nations. She is a KIMI teacher and trainer in, the International Ambassador for Kids in Ministry International, as well as KIMI’s head intercessor.

Come Grieve Through Our Eyes, Laura Diehl

laura

How do you give comfort and support to grieving parents who have lost a child, when you can only imagine what that is like? To be quite honest, those nice Christian clichés just don’t work and can actually be hurtful and damaging. It can even make these precious parents even more angry at God and causing them to pull away from others, isolating themselves in a very dark world of intense pain and grief. Laura lost her own daughter Becca a few years ago, so she writes form personal experience and through counseling others. She will be sharing the “dos and don’ts,”  taking you into the world of a bereaved parent, so that you can be one of the rare people who can journey with a grieving parent to a place of hope, light, and life again after the death of their child.

Laura Diehl was an indispensable member of our leadership team for ten years, director of KIMI Wisconsin, and fully handled SSCM and PC all by herself.  Her new book “Come Grieve Through Our Eyes” is now available in our store: http://buff.ly/1RVMYLC).

Radical Outreach, Kidmin Charlie Slaughter

charlie and becky

Kidmin Charlie will share how to see the Church grow from a handful of souls to a multitude of souls and continue to grow everyday. It is possible when we do it like Jesus taught us and instructed us. Walk away from this class knowing the Kingdom is radically going to grow through the ministry Jesus has entrusted you with.

Charles Slaughter, best known as Kidmin Charlie, is a children’s pastor, evangelist, and revivalist who travels the US with his wife Jennifer in their infamous Questmobile helping churches to learn how to reach kids in this rapidly changing kid culture of today. He is a well-known kidmin conference speaker known and founder of Kidquest Grow, a ministry to teach the body on how to do ministry inside and outside the walls of the church changing how children’s ministry is done across the country. Charlie will also be one of our SSCM graduates this year!

Presence Driven Families, Alicia White

AliciaKIMI Ohio Director, Alicia White, will be speaking on a topic she know much about — making the presence of Jesus a cornerstone of family life. Where less than 1 out of 10 families will ever read the word of God or pray in their homes together, where less than 1 out of 10 families will ever have a worship experience together in their homes, and where 99% of the time spent at church parents and children are separated, we have lost the family altar. Cultivating a supernatural righteous generation of children that runs after doing the will and works of Jesus is going to take more than a couple of hours on a Sunday morning or Wednesday night. It is going to take the power and presence of Jesus consuming and overtaking the families of God, driving what we do from the church to the home.

In addition to KIMI Ohio, Alicia has her own family ministry called Chosen Stones. We sell Alicia’s family devotionals and children’s ministry curriculums on our website.

Jesus Wants to Go to School, Tim Carpenter

tim carpenterWhat if we could take the Gospel to a place where many have not even heard the Name of Jesus? What if we could empower kids to advance the Kingdom in a place where the Bible and prayer are not allowed? This is not a foreign third world nation, it’s our public elementary schools. In this inspiring, but practical workshop, we’ll show you an A-Z plan on launching an after school Power Club or a generic Bible Club in any school, any community in America. Anyone can do it and it’s perfectly legal! We’ll answer all your questions about liability, legality and building a team. If you have the heart of a kids evangelist, this workshop is for you!!!

Tim has been a dynamic kid’s evangelist, Project Editor/Curriculum Developer for KIDS Church Next Generation, and the Billy Graham Association He’s has also served as a children’s pastor with Jesse Duplantis Ministries and Bethany Church in Louisiana. He is an anointed trumpet player and has played for well-known Christian music groups such as the Rhema Singers and Band. He has been very active in recent years with Child Evangelism Fellowship overseeing their public elementary school Bible clubs. Tim’s vision is to simply help kids experience the transforming power and love of Jesus in and through their lives.

Shane Cooke, Awakening Kids for Revival

Shane Cooke

Many of the great Revivals began as children became the tinder and the fuel for a hunger for God to move. All over the world they are the kindling for the fire of God that has set all generations ablaze in revival. The only limitations that children have is what adults place upon them. What is our part in the AWAKENING of children for revival? When the focus is wrong, our children die! How do you nurture the power and presence of God in kids? How do you help them discover, develop and display Heaven on Earth as they EXPAND the THRONE ZONE

A 30 year veteran in children’s ministry from Melbourne, Australia, Shane Cooke will speak but is also coming to graduate from the School of Supernatural Children’s Ministry. What an honor to once again have such a qualified veteran in kidsmin desire to go through the training in  our school! Shane is currently writing a curriculum for children called the School of the Prophetic, and we can’t wait till it’s released!

Unlocking the Mystery of Children’s Dreams, Stacey Linsalata

Stacey Linsalata.400 dpiHas your child ever told you a puzzling dream that made you wonder if they had too much pizza before bedtime?! Dreams can be comical, adventurous, frightening, insightful, but most of all…mysterious! This workshop will help you unlock some of the mysteries of your children’s dreams, including frightful ones, from a biblical perspective. We’ll lay a foundation for why God created us to dream and how to restore this ancient form of communication in our kids! This workshop is going to help bring more understanding to children’s dreams through the lens of Scripture and give parents tools to help their children say bye, bye to bad dreams for good!

One of our recent SSCM graduates, Stacey Linsalata, is joining us as one of our speakers. She is developing a ministry to help children and families understand the the significance of children’s dreams. She has recently published a curriculum on “Encounters in the Night,” which we sell in our online store.

Preschoolers – Praising Powerhouses, Jody Gafford

Jody portraitJoin KIMI Oklahoma director, Jody Gafford, and some of her Praise Place Pals for an interactive fun session discussing the wonder of Preschoolers.

She will review what makes these little ones so unique and how to best nurture all that God has placed in them.  We will discuss how their brains function, and touch on some Whole Brain Teaching Techniques.  Creative Drama experiences and Music have a real place in developing, in the natural, what God desires to develop in the Spiritual.  We will even touch on Quantum Physics and how Praise has been proven to change us and the atmosphere around us.

As preschoolers grow it is crucial that we help them develop their God given identity as they come to identify with their God.  Created in His image, this means they are meant to think like He thinks, do what He would do, and above all, develop a character that mirrors their loving creator.  It’s all about relationship.  As they experience their God, they will become mighty powerhouses for Him.

Jody is a trained opera singer, and has led kids choirs for years. She is a also a clown, character actor, and puppeteer. Jody is in the process of writing a 13 week curriculum for KIMI for preschool ministry. Jody is also the author of I Love Israel, a incredible little curriculum for preschoolers to teach them to love and pray for Israel. (See here: I Love Israel)

(Watch for special guest appearances of Peabody, Granny Go Go, and Chloe the Clown!)
