2 Chronicles 20 vs 20 : Believe the prophet and you shall prosper

One major key to recovery is divine pronouncement. Never trivialize God’s Word. Any time God speaks, take it seriously. Even when God speaks through His ministers, do not take it for granted. One reason the Word of God fails to accomplish its purpose in our lives or situation is because we are either too familiar with the Word or the vessel through which the Word came.Amos 3:7 says, “Surely the LORD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets”.

This is true. Do you know that the various events taking place in the lives of people, communities and nations are first revealed to God’s confidants? Somebody somewhere is informed of what is about to happen in your life, family or church. The issue is: does God trust you enough to confide in you? A particular brother occupied a very sensitive position in the army. His bosses hated his guts and included his name among those short-listed for retirement.

Even after he knew of their plan, he was not shaken. One day he came into God’s presence and before he could even settle down, the Lord said those who were planning to retire him would leave and his promotion would be accelerated. It happened just like that. Those who planned to retire him forgot to effect his retirement. Later, they were retired but he was promoted to become the boss. This year, anyone planning your sack shall lose his or her seat to you in Jesus’ Name.

God’s Word is powerful. A young sister trusting God for visa to America attended a meeting one day, and as the Lord led me, I said the person who wanted a visa to America had already got it. She rejoiced and held onto the pronouncement. Later when she appeared before the visa officer at the Embassy, the lady there told her there was no visa for her. But she protested saying her father had already assured her of her visa.

The woman asked, ‘Who is your father?’ ‘Adeboye’, she replied. ‘But Adeboye is not written on any of your documents’, the visa officer quizzed. ‘Oh, ma, Adeboye is the father of my father’, she insisted. Suddenly, the visa officer took interest in the way the young sister spoke and gave her the visa. What has been denied you? In the Name of Jesus, it shall be granted to you this season. Are you trusting God for visa to a country of your choice where you plan to do God’s pleasure? That door is opened to you now in Jesus’ Name. Every Word of God spoken into your life shall come to pass. Never joke with a divine pronouncement!

Father, establish every good pronouncement made on me and my family today.
