A Brief Reflection on Death and Judgment

No one in this world can escape death. The issue, however, is that many people do not know or do not believe that there is a realm of judgment after death. As a result, they live carelessly, thinking it does not matter how they sin or how they live.

If a person truly believed that there is an eternal judgment after death and a righteous Judge, would they still live so casually? If there is no absolute and eternal Being, no One who is perfectly just, then what is the meaning of our lives in this world? Since all must face death and everything will pass away, if there is no righteous Judge and no absolute standard, what difference is there between doing good and doing evil?

In fact, it would be impossible to define good or evil, because each person may have a different standard or definition. Everyone lives with themselves as the standard and the center, regarding anything different from themselves as wrong, and treating themselves as the ultimate authority. This, in essence, is a profound expression of the sinful nature within humanity.
