    A Word from the Word

    sunset1

    Genesis 2:8

Then the Lord God planted a garden toward the East in Eden and there He placed man whom He formed.

“Eden”, the word means delight.  It seems like an old word; delight along with the word Eden.  We don’t delight ourselves with many things anymore.  We don’t have delightful moments anymore.  “That was delightful”, sounds quaint. In Genesis 3:24, Adam and Eve where driven out of Eden, out of delight.

Yet, we can still find delight in this world that God created for us.  There is a remnant of His Eden all around. Despite what man has done to this world, it is still a delight.  Look for God’s fingerprints in His creation.  Delight in them.
