All God does is good
Good day beautiful people,
It’s been a minute but I hope you’re all well and refreshed, also happy new month.
Below is a screenshot from my WhatsApp story which I thought I’d upload onto the WordPress platform for the purpose of encouraging the online community.
There are 3 scriptures which come to mind when I think over the above post…
1. Romans 8:28 ~ “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
^^^ God is working for the good of those who love Him. Remember that no evil comes from God, all He does is good. Every good and perfect gift comes from above. And God desires for us to have glorious futures.
2. Colossians 1:9 ~ “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.”
^^^We should pray to know God’s will for our lives. This is far better than living for ourselves and doing things in our own strength. Remember there’s a way that seems right to man but ends in death (Proverbs 14:12).
Side-note
3. Genesis 50:20 ~ “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”
^^^ What the enemy would have used to try to destroy us (our hope), God will work out for our good and for His glory.
In relation to the above scripture during my time of meditation some things came to mind. What if Joseph shared his dream with his family too soon (prematurely)? What if he waited for some time before sharing such information, would things have been different? His family didn’t seem receptive to the idea of bowing before him. Maybe Joseph should’ve kept his dream to himself. Was revealing his vision the straw that broke the camels back, leading his brothers towards selling him into slavery out of jealousy?…’Here comes the dreamer’ (Genesis 37:19). Maybe they wouldn’t have sold him if they didn’t know about the dream. This is just speculation my own personal train of thought. Either way, God worked things out for good.
