ANOINTED TO SIN?

Sin and anointing cannot go together. Sin in the life of the anointed takes the fire of Pentecost out of the anointing. Steer clear of sin. Some Christians argue that in spite of Samson’s immoral acts, the anointing continued to flow. How true is that? The anointing is divine electricity. Anointing obeys almost all known laws of physics on electricity.

If a piece of wire is full of electricity, whosoever touches it dies. But if that same live wire is covered by a piece of rubber called emasculator, irrespective of the level of current it is carrying, even a child can play with it without being hurt.

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof” (Romans 6:12). When sin is reigning in the life of a minister of God, it does not matter the amount of fire God had invested on him, sin – the insulator will not allow it to work. If you are operating on a lower level of anointing than you used to, it is likely you are compromising with sin.

You have given it a place to occupy in your life. Light and darkness have nothing in common except that they are common eternal enemies. If you now tell lies without your conscience kicking hard.

If you conveniently engage in lustful thoughts, watch x-rated movies on VCD and on the internet, you can be sure you are ‘spirit-filled.’ You are filled with the spirits of lies and lust, not the Holy Spirit. You are completely empty of the power of God.

“Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings” (Proverbs 31:3). If you indulge in sexual immorality, you are an abomination to God. Why? It is because you traded God’s deposits in you for five minutes of sinful pleasure. So He asks, “Is that all I worth to you?”

This is why the fornicator or adulterer does not worth more than a piece of stale bread to God (Proverbs 6:26). In many churches today; the vestry has become a brothel, night vigils have become sexual orgies.

Pastors have lost their power to fornication. No wonder they can no longer preach on holiness. All they now talk about is prosperity and success. A group of youth ministers attended a conference in a city and lodged in a particular hotel.

That period, the hotel recorded the highest use of blue film TV stations. Don’t let that sin destroy you. Find out to which sin(s) you have lost your anointing, and go back to God in genuine repentance, asking for forgiveness and restoration.
