Are You the Queen of Stress? — Carol McLeod Ministries

A Note from Carol: One of the greatest joys of my ministry is sharing voices that speak truth with clarity and compassion. Today, I’m thrilled to introduce Dr. Nancy Meyer—a dynamic life coach, speaker, and woman of deep faith. She’s a retired chiropractor, successful business woman, and triathlete who learned to swim at the age of 53. Her wisdom helps women overcome fear, align their lives with God’s purpose, and walk in total wellness (mind, body, and spirit).

What would you do if you realized you were slowly destroying the very vessel God gave you to live out your purpose?

Would you keep pushing harder, ignoring the warning signs—or would you finally stop and listen to the cry for help?

I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

You see, I used to be the Queen of Stress. (Yes, I’m taking off my crown now—thank you very much.)

When I was in college, I believed I could do it all. Classes. Multiple jobs. Family drama. Church commitments. Relationships. I wore busyness like a badge of honor. I told myself things like, Just push through. Keep going. I’m fine.

But the truth? I wasn’t fine.

By the time I was 20 years old, I had six ulcers. Six. I remember sitting in a hospital room after an endoscopy, wondering, How did I let it get this bad?

The answer was painfully simple: I had been treating my body like it was disposable—like it didn’t matter. I was surviving on caffeine and adrenaline, sleeping too little, and striving too hard. All the while, I thought I was doing “the Lord’s work.”

But here’s what I now know:

Your body isn’t a machine to run into the ground.
It’s not a burden to wrestle with.
    It’s not disposable.

    It’s a sacred vessel.

Stress doesn’t just come from the bad stuff. It can come from good things, too. Starting a new career, moving into a new home, or welcoming a new baby are all wonderfully good things. But let’s not pretend they’re not stressful.

As a chiropractor, I saw stress walk into my office every single day. It didn’t always say “I’m overwhelmed.” It showed up as neck pain, back pain, tension headaches. The symptoms varied, but the root was often the same: stress.

And here’s the part we don’t talk about enough: Stress steals your purpose. It clouds your thinking. It hijacks your peace. It leaves you running in circles, exhausted and disconnected.

That season in my life taught me this truth: Your body is not a burden. It’s a blessing.

God designed your body with intention—for movement, rest, joy, and purpose. He didn’t create it so you could hustle it into the ground for approval or performance. He created it to partner with His plans for your life.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20:"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies."

This isn’t about chasing a number on the scale or looking like an Instagram influencer. This is about honoring God. It’s about gratitude. It’s about worship.

Romans 12:1 reminds us: "Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."

Your health isn’t separate from your spiritual life: It’s part of it.

When you begin to steward your body as a sacred gift, something shifts:

    • You find peace in the pause.

    • You regain energy for what matters.

    • You have the strength to walk out your calling.

This is why I do what I do.

After years of walking closely with clients one-on-one—hearing their struggles, celebrating their breakthroughs, and witnessing firsthand what real transformation looks like—I knew I had to find a way to make this kind of growth more accessible. Not everyone can sit with a coach every week. But everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.

That’s why I created Total Wellness University—a transformational, self-paced program designed to reset your mindset, renew your body, and reignite your purpose. Inside TWU, you’ll walk through three powerful courses that rebuild your health—mentally, physically, and spiritually—because when those three areas come into alignment, everything changes.

You’ll also have access to monthly Zoom masterminds with me for personal coaching, encouragement, and real-time support—because you’re not meant to do this alone. And if you’re ready to go even deeper, you have the option to add one-on-one coaching sessions to your experience. Sometimes, having a personal guide makes all the difference.

Let 2025 be the year you finally stop treating your body like an afterthought.
Let this be the year you see your body for what it really is: A vessel for worship. Not a vehicle for stress.

    Ready to Start Your Journey?
True health is more than just physical. It’s mental. It’s spiritual. And it’s sacred.

Join me in Total Wellness University—a transformational, self-paced program designed to reset your mindset, renew your body, and reignite your purpose. Let’s make this the year you treat your body like the gift it truly is.

Because when you honor your body, you honor the One who created it—and you become ready for whatever He calls you to do next.
