Over nine days in November 2024, I will be back in Lima, Peru, ministering with Proclaim! International, but for very different reasons than my last missions tour in June.

Proclaim has invited me to lead them in worship for their Gathering, an annual event where all their missionaries worldwide gather to report, regroup, and refresh. I’m honored in that this is the fourth time I’ve been invited back to join them (Germany 2007, Budapest 2017, Orlando 2018). They rotate their Gathering to different parts of the world, and this year it is coincidentally in Peru, where I participated in a two-week missions tour earlier this year. (Please hit the following link to read up on that trip, which includes two weeks of intense concert touring with the Latin pop band, La Puerta Azul, musings about faith, culture, and art, and my usual fun facts about the quirks of trips abroad.) I’m quite excited in that my wife, Deb, has been invited to come along with me. She’s not been on a plane this long in quite awhile (8 hour flight from LAX), so hopefully all will be well.

I’ll be reporting on my adventures in this blog post, so stick around for more insights and fun facts about Peru.
