Bible in 365 Days – Day 28
Focus Chapters:
- Job 32-34
Standout Verse(s):
Job 33:14-18 NLT
For God speaks again and again,
though people do not recognize it.
He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they lie in their beds.
He whispers in their ears
and terrifies them with warnings.
He makes them turn from doing wrong;
he keeps them from pride.
He protects them from the grave,
from crossing over the river of death.
Observation (s):
- God speaks to us in a variety of ways. However, people often do not recognize when He speaks.
For God speaks again and again,
though people do not recognize it.
He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they lie in their beds.
He whispers in their ears
and terrifies them with warnings. - God provides multiple warnings and guidance to keep us from doing wrong that will put us in harm’s way.
He makes them turn from doing wrong;
he keeps them from pride.
He protects them from the grave,
from crossing over the river of death.
Application:
I prefer when God speaks to me directly. I also prefer when what He is saying is said without the parables and what I consider “drama and fanfare”. Due to my personal preferences, sometimes I miss when God speaks to me because He doesn’t do it in the predictable way that I expect. Despite this, I love that God doesn’t give up! He speaks again and again! God never allows our cities or lives to be destroyed without numerous warnings and giving us the opportunity to remedy the issues. Our biggest challenge is learning to listen to God through all the mediums He chooses to use and acting on the warnings. God speaks but will we attune ourselves to listen for His voice?
XOXO,
Chañel

My all-time favourite thing to do is gaining discoveries by design from My Father during our time each day. Reading, learning and trying new things falls behind in a close second place. My dream is to use my God-given talents to positively impact as many people as possible. As a proud Wolmerian, with a zest for life, I adhere to the “Age Quod Agis” motto in that whatsoever I do, I always do it to the best of my ability.
