Memorize: The slothful man saith, there is a lion in the way;

a lion is in the streets” ( (Prov. 26:13)

Read Proverb 24:30-31

“By their fruit you shall know them”. A sluggard is recognized by his fruits. One of such is having several untreated files pending on the table. Proverb 24: 30-31 say the field of the sluggard is overtaken by weeks, thorns and nettles because of long neglect.

If visitors come to your church and you keep heaping their card but hardly follow them, that church is full of sluggards. If the Lord has given you different t assignment which you have not done, it is because you are sluggard.

In the same vein, if you always want others to do your work for you, your fruit shows you are sluggard. Students who get others to impersonate them and sit for their examinations ate sluggards.  They are laying their foundation on emptiness.

“The slothful man saith, there is a lion in the way; a lion is in the street’ (proverbs 26:13). Another trait of sluggards is that they are easily discouraged.

They have no liver for challenges. To make it in life, you must be prepared to face diverse kinds of challenges. Expected the storms. Expect the winds and rains.

Oppositions will surely come. Sometimes, you or your project may pass through fire, yet you have to hold on. If you have not learnt to endure hardship, you cannot become the type of soldier the Lord will use for exploit.

Some people cannot complete anything they start. If they take up a job, not long after, they will quit. If they start a school or Bible college, they will not graduate.

If they start a business, they will quit before long. Sometimes, it is not a spiritual problem but that of slothfulness.

If that explains your situation, the Lord will set you free today. Every spirit responsible for inability to complete whatever you have started be paralyzed now in Jesus name.

Another mark of the sluggard is that he cannot be advised. Proverbs 26:16 says, “The sluggard is wiser in his own concept than seven men that can render a reason”. He thinks he knows everything.

He finds it difficult to see from other people’s view. If people find it difficult to give you advice, it shows you are sluggard.

If this year will deliver all your blessings that are in its kitty, you must be totally separated from laziness, idleness, procrastination and wishful thinking.

Get ready for handwork. Be prepared to pray, study the Bible, worship God, win souls, and glorify God as never before.
