Building friendships requires work.

    Good day, beautiful people,

Thank you for stopping by, and I sincerely hope that this blog post will bless your heart and provide you with an element of joy.

Today’s write-up has been inspired by Psalm 101:6.

Building solid companionships does not happen by chance; also, the process of creating bonds with new people can be daunting. Human relationships can be complex, and for several people, by the time they reach adulthood, past experiences can hinder them from making new friends and building community because of past disappointments and hurts.

Psalm 101:6 ~ “I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.”

^^^ The writer of Psalm 101:6 used the word search. This word stuck out to me because to search for something usually involves an active process. As mentioned previously, healthy relationships don’t happen by accident; you genuinely need to put in the work.

You need to search for good, godly people. Having healthy friendships is not impossible; it can be done, but one needs to be prayerful, wise, and cautious about the whole process. Don’t let past experiences hinder you from forming great connections. In life, we will get hurt, and we will also hurt others, but one thing we must remember is that God will never disappoint us; He will never let us down, and we are to be like Christ, so when it comes to making new friends and building great relationships, emulate Christ.

A few things that I can say about Christ is that He had the heart of a servant. When seeking to connect with others, don’t go in with a mindset of what can I gain from connecting with this individual? Or what can I take from them? But rather think what can I pour into this individual? How can I love them like Christ taught me to love? How can I be a blessing to this person? And how can this relationship help me mature in my walk with the Lord so that I become more Christlike.

So, be encouraged; don’t let the hunt of connecting with godly people wear you down. Do not grow weary in working on building a community of people you can trust. Continue to ask the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to keep going, and don’t let fear hold you back.

    Stay hopeful.

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
