Commentary Job 22 vs 28: Secret to answered prayers

Posted on May 11, 2015

Read Job 22 vs 26 – 28: 26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. 27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. 28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

  1. Many of us merely quote Job 22 vs 28, on the power Christians have to decree a thing, but the earlier three verses show that there are conditions to be met before our prayers can be answered.
  2. First, you should delight in the Lord by meditating on His word day and night, doing what pleases Him, and always fellow shipping with Him.- Verse 26
  3. Second, you need to trust in Him, see Him as your helper, and run to Him for deliverance Vs 26.download (2)
  4. Third, you need to pray to God until something happens Vs 27.
  5. Fourth, you need to pay your vows. Are you owning God debts, they pay it up. Vs 27
  6. But for me, the most important condition is ‘having thy delight in the Almighty’. If you have a good relationship with God, He will answer you before asking.
  7. Do you want to walk in the supernatural and have the power to decree prayers to reality? First step is starting  a relationship with God, by giving your life to Christ now.
