    How much quality time do you devote to the most important relationships in your life? Our relationship with God is unquestionably a priority, but won’t develop depth and intimacy without an investment. 

    Daily quiet time might also be called daily quality time. Quality time can’t be rushed, distracted, or multitasked on top of other activities.

    Intimacy requires a one-on-one, face to face relationship. Gathering in community and developing relationships with others is essential to our growth, but we must stand on our own personal relationship with God and direct revelation from Him. 

    Exodus 33:11 says, “Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.”

    What an inspiration! This is the relationship I want to have with God. And I know it’s possible because of His word. The Bible is our foundation. The word of God will feed and nourish our other daily quiet time habits of prayer, meditation and worship. 

    That’s why this devotional is primarily about the daily Bible passages and the time spent in His presence, not about about my reflections. You will be receiving your own fresh revelation as you dive into His word and listen for the answer to the question: Lord what are you saying to me today?

    In this devotional you will read one chapter a day from the book of Daniel with a few additional  scripture verses. Each day also contains questions for reflection, so be sure to grab a journal or notebook.. Some ideas to include in this section if you feel prompted:

    • A scripture verse to memorize

    • Prayer requests

    • Reflections on the readings and questions included

    I pray that the next 12 days will be transformational for you. God will reveal truth about Himself, who He has created you to be, and provide direction for your future. 

    The book of Daniel is both extremely supernatural and practical. Daniel’s life is a demonstration of righteousness, holiness, a lifestyle of prayer, and how to live undefiled in the midst of culture. This book will show you how to live a kingdom life that impacts heaven and earth!
