Deliverance by the finger of God

   The Lord is going to do great and mighty things in our lives today and because of the manner of things God is going to do, it is important that we look deeply into some scriptures before we now going into prayers. In Exodus chapter 8 verse 19, the Bible recorded this: “then the magician said unto Pharaoh, this is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened heart was hardened, and he hearken not unto them; as the Lord has said.

Why Does God Point Out His Finger?

1.       The first reason He does it is to punish His own enemies-He pointed out his finger to Sodom and Gomorrah and fire, brimstone and sulphur fell down. He pointed the same finger at the Red sea; He allowed Israel to pass in it but He swallowed Pharaoh. It was that same finger that was pointed at Bar-Jesus and he became blind. The finger of God when stretched out will punish your enemies.   

2.       God does it to deliver His people from their enemies- it was that finger that was pointed to Daniel in the lion’s den and when he landed in that den, they could not eat Daniel because he too was the son of lion, but his own lion was the lion Judah. It was the same finger that was pointed at Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego in the fiery furnace and as that finger was pointed out, the fire became air-conditioner and the Bible says, not even one single air on their body was burnt. Why don’t you believe God to stretch out His finger in our situation today?

3.          He points out His finger to fight for his people- it was that same finger that was pointed out at Jericho and Jericho fell flat. It was that same finger that was pointed out when the war started and they pushed the choir to the front and the soldier were at the back and the enemies began to fight themselves, and God people didn’t fight any battle at all. When the finger is pointed out, the battle becomes that of the Lord.

4.       He points out His finger to confirm His true messengers– That was why He pointed out His finger at Mount Carmel and Elijah brought down fire

5.        He does it to confirm His word – Paul shook off the serpent that had attached itself to his hand and the people expected him to fall down and die, but they found out that he didn’t  die, why it was because the finger of God had already been pointed out.

6.       He does it to demonstrate His awesome power-like He did to Lazarus. He said “Lazarus, come forth! And he came forth by the power of God. As far God is concerned once His finger is pointed out things happen at the fastest rate.

7.       Point out his finger to reveal Himself as a God of providence- once that finger is pointed out, He will rain manna from heaven. It was same finger that was pointed out and fish became a bank, the same  finger was point out and a little bit of fish and bread was served around five thousand people and even leaving leftovers.

8.       He points out His finger to remove hindrances to his people’s blessing.

9.       He points his finger to silence satanic ministers

10.   He points it out so as to destroy the power of darkness just His little finger pointed out is enough to resolve any problem that anybody may be having right now. The trouble is that sometimes we come before God with dry faith, not expecting much to happen. Someone comes before God, but really as you are before God, you believe more of what the experts have said, you look about what has been happening to others and use that to judge your own life.

Keys to Provoking the finger of God

a.       Absolute faith in the power of God- Believe God that is the first key towards provoking the finger of God faith in your heart, believing God that whatever situation is on the ground it is not beyond His power.**you must have what we call violent faith, that is the faith of somebody who serves a big God. Faith does not welcome alternative, meaning that as you are reading this now, any situation that the enemy has brought your way, if you believe God without any doubt that that situation would be defeated, destroyed and buried before you put down this message, it shall be given as you believe.** The Bible says “whosoever shall say unto the mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea and will not doubt in your heart…..,” if you believe that that thing which you have said shall come to pass, the Bible is says it shall be so.

b.      The second way to provoke His finger to operation is what we call bold praying! The  kind of prayer that when  you pray it, somebody will say, “this is madness, crazy prayer, how does he expect such a thing to happen?” The Bible says, “Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.”
