SATAN HAS NOTHING GOOD TO OFFER

Memorise: “As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it” (Isaiah 31:5)

Read: Isaiah 31:1-3

Another trait of the blessed ones is that they never put their confidence in man but in God. After certain experiences in life, I learnt never to trust in man, except God. During my secondary school days, my father had a heated quarrel with members of our extended family.

At a point, considering the fact that one of them was the principal of my school, and if he continued the quarrel, it might affect my education, my father decided to play it down. Yet the opposing party threatened my father by saying they would see how long I would live before my death. On hearing this, I took to my heels. I fled my village because of its antecedents in occultic bravado. They could decide to use me for breakfast by the following morning. For 13 years, I was in exile from my native land.

When they saw that I ran, they attacked my father and six months after the quarrel, he died. My mother was also attacked but she was wise enough to run. Years later, when I ventured to return to the village, I missed my way and got lost in the jungle. I decided to employ ‘African insurance’ to fortify me from attacks. After using the services of several native doctors, I finally met a man who was esteemed more powerful.

This man boasted that by the time he was through with his occultic portions and sacrifices, anyone who dared me would see fire. After providing what he requested together with money, one day he asked of the name of my village. He was shocked. Then he said. If I had been told not to go to my village, I should not even try because the villagers there were of high occultic level.

He further volunteered that his father was the strongest occultist in his village and that after teaching him all he knew, he sent him to my village for post -graduate studies in occultism. It was then I realized the vanity of putting your trust in man.

Later, I gave my life to Christ and everything changed for better. Since then, I have been going to my village without fear. The light of God has dispelled darkness and now His light is shinning in this village. The reason I hold tightly and firmly to God is because there is nothing on the other side.

The best Satan can do is tell you lies. All power belongs to Jesus. He can even use your past mistakes to glorify His Holy name. Stop running. If you are not born again, give your life to Christ now and it shall be well with you. Trust Him and report to Him all who are troubling you. He will trouble them today.

If you are still running from those who should be running from you, it shows something is out of place. Take your stand today!
