ElijahForce Interview on Angels | Glory Waves

I just had the honor of being interviewed by Julie Ann Smith of Elijah Streams Ministries. What a delight! She is an amazing woman of God and we had the best time together. What was scheduled to be an hour-long show overflowed into a dynamic 90-minute conversation full of Scriptures, shared stories of angelic encounter, and a powerful time of impartation and activation.

I shared about my fierce warrior angel, Laurel, who was assigned to me for a specific season and mission. And while I’m not really up on all my Marvel Universe movie characters, the best way to describe Laurel is like the “Dora Milaje” from Black Panther. You know, those strong and mighty women trained from birth to be the best fighters in the world? Well, when you see someone like that accompanying you, you are able to walk confidently and fearlessly knowing the armies of heaven have your back!

Similarly, Julie told us about the incredible “Transformer” angels who rescued her and her family from danger in what could have been a deadly car accident. We know angels encamp around us, surrounding us with protection (Psalm 34:7), and it’s exciting to compare notes on what it looks like for God to give His angels charge over us to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11-12). We gratefully realize we don’t need to be afraid of anything ever again, because we are never alone.

We considered the passage in Scripture where an angel played a role in bringing physical healing, and then talked about Bob the Irish Angel who brought one of my readers a supernatural healing in her body as well. We also looked at the verses about an angel of provision helping Elijah, and then shared some contemporary examples of that same angelic ministry of provision and prosperity blessing believers and their businesses from New York to Shanghai!

The Most Powerful Truths

In His time on earth, Jesus was quite a controversial figure. Of course, He never shied away from it! And it has been rightly said that “We can always tell how powerful a truth is by the amount of controversy the devil surrounds it with.”

We recognize there is some controversary surrounding angelic interaction, and we dove right in. Obviously, it doesn’t matter what I think about engaging angels, and it doesn’t matter what you think either. It matters what God thinks. And how do we know what God thinks? We explore the Bible and all the amazing angelic encounters He included there. We know these things were written as examples for us… the Bible is meant to be lived!

A few of the topics we tackled together were:

Are we allowed to talk with angels? The answer is always to examine what our biblical heroes did: Did Zechariah talk to angels? How about Daniel? Or Zacarias the husband of Elizabeth? Or Mary the mother of Jesus? There are many examples in Scripture of people having two-way back and forth conversations with angels. And if they did it in Scripture, that means we get to experience the same thing today.

Does the Bible have much to say about angels? There are 365 references to angels in the Bible – one for every day of the year! Far from being a minor topic that God wants us to minimize or marginalize, we find that entire chapters of the Bible are simply records of angelic conversation and interaction. And lest we think such encounters were limited to the Old Testament, we realize that angels are actually mentioned more in the New Testament than the Old Testament, even though the New Testament is much shorter.

How many times in Scripture did God warn us about interacting with angels? Zero. God has no trouble laying down the law when He wants to. So if engaging angels was really such a perilous practice that so easily opens us up to darkness and deception, wouldn’t our loving heavenly Father have at least mentioned that? Doesn’t He want to protect us, and doesn’t He care? Or is it that angelic interaction is not as dangerous as we may have been (mis)led to believe.

How many times in the Bible did believers accidentally worship a fallen angel? Never. And this is the big reason why we have been so scared to interact with angels, right? That somehow, in some way, we may accidentally be tricked into worshipping one? Well, if that never once happened in all 66 books of Scripture, that fear is not justified. It is the enemy who is trying to keep you from engaging angels, which certainly makes you wonder… what is he so scared of?

Who in Scripture gave us the clearest direction to not worship angels? An angel. Which goes to show that God does want us paying attention to angels, listening to what they say, and honoring their messages. Angels are messengers of God Himself, and we honor Him best when we honor those He has sent to minister to us (Heb. 1:14).

And that’s just what we covered in the first few minutes!

You All Can See

We also talked about when I first met my angels as a little girl, what they look like, how they act, and how often I see them. Julie also shared amazing stories of angelic intervention that I guarantee will give you glory bumps. We agreed that fun is a core value of heaven, and as you’ll see when you watch the show, we certainly had a divine time together!

And most importantly, we didn’t just share our testimonies, we talked about how everyone can learn to look in the spirit and engage the angelic realm personally. We answered the question about why believers are not seeing angels more often, and what things we can easily do to become more aware and sensitive to the sacred supernatural.

At the end, Julie had me lead an activation where we met with Jesus and asked Him about our angels. She had a powerful encounter and shared the revelation with us and what the Lord showed her. Best of all, I trust that when you try the activation for yourself, you too, will have your own awesome experience with the company of heaven.

Definitely listen in on our lively conversation and then journal with Jesus about your own guardian angels. Your testimony can be next!

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. But the commercialism doesn’t have to rule in our hearts and homes. This year let’s focus on the Christ Child and remember the true meaning of the holiday season. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
