Empowering quotes to help us when feeling tired

“I’m so tired!”

Most of us have said these lines as we live in a fast-paced world. As a kid, we never imagined that adulthood could be tiring.

We thought that after graduating college, we would end up with our dream jobs and have a lot of money to buy what we wanted.

However, no one told us that achieving that kind of life would take us a long time. We will get tired as we pursue our dreams

Some people who are exhausted with everyday life hinder them from enjoying their present life.

Empowering quotes to help when feeling tired

When we are tired, we would not have the energy for other aspects of our lives, like our relationships with our family and ourselves.

Here are some motivational quotes from incredible people to strengthen us amidst our exhaustion in life.

Stop when done

“I don’t stop when I’m tired, I only stop when I’m done.” – Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe has an excellent message if you are passionate about achieving your goals. Getting tired is a part of your journey to success, do not give up when you are tired.

Keep going until you have reached the finish line to make your sacrifices worth it. Do not waste what you have worked for; do not give up.

Sleep first

“Tired minds don’t plan well. Sleep first, then plan later.” – Walter Reisch

We cannot force our minds to have great plans when exhausted. Even machines need a break, and so as our minds. There is nothing wrong with sleeping well after doing all your tasks.

To finish a task effectively, we should have enough strength to do it.

Never get tired of living

“Even when you have every right to be tired of everything, Never be tired of living.” – Terry Mark

Our emotions are valid. It is okay to cry and feel tired. It is normal to tire when we make an effort for loved ones. No matter how tiring life can be, never get tired of living.

Life is a beautiful gift for us to enjoy. We may feel bad when we are tired because we feel underappreciated, but do not lose hope because this season of tiresome shall pass.

Pray and ask God to renew your strength like the wings of an eagle for you to see the beauty of life.

Run, walk, crawl

“Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up.” – Dean Karnazes

Whatever your ways of achieving your goals, either fast or slow, is acceptable if you do not give up. You can run when you can and walk if you are tired or take a rest in the middle of your journey.

There is nothing wrong with resting when tired, and there is nothing wrong with taking things slowly.

You will not get to your destination feeling fulfilled when you try to force yourself even if you are tired.

Take a break

“You’ve done enough. It’s okay to be tired. You can take a break.” – Shauna Niequist

After all, you have done at work, home, marriage, and as a mother, rest. Regardless of people seeing how much you have worked hard, appreciate yourself and reward yourself for a break.

We should never feel bad about resting for a while and treating ourselves.

Even God rested on the seventh day after He created the world, so this is a mere human can also rest.

Growth amid tiredness

“A man grows most tired while standing still.” — Chinese proverb

When we are tired and still standing firm, we give ourselves a chance to grow and be the better version of ourselves. Holding on firmly amidst our struggles is better than giving up when tired.

We can learn many things when we are tired such as learning to depend on God, the one that could renew our strength. We need to humble ourselves before Him.

Also, Jesus Christ promised to give us rest when we are weary and tired.

Not who you are

Tiredness is just something that is appearing; it’s not who you are.” – Nirmala

We all get tired, but it does not define us. Some people may feel like they are never enough or their best is not good enough when tired.

Allowing ourselves to let our exhaustion devour us may lead  to stress or depression.

However, if you know your identity, you will not allow your feelings to drive your life. We have to change our mindset and think that getting tired is just a part of the process.

Doing the hard work

“Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.” – Newt Gingrich

You get tired because you persevere in achieving your goals. Being tired results from your hard work, so embrace it and rest.

Moreover, those who work hard will reap their sacrifices in the future. Eventually, God will reward their perseverance.

You cannot be a superb every day

“When I’m tired, I rest. I say, ‘I can’t be a superwoman today.’” – Jada Pinkett Smith

There are days when our body needs to rest. Just like mothers, they can multitask and do everything at home and work, but once they get tired, they cannot function effectively and need a break.

We are not always strong, and our bodies, mind, and heart get exhausted.

Under attacked

“When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

When we are tired, there is a chance for us to think negatively. Our fears and worries that we had in the past would return to distract us again.

It is easy for us to feel bad when we are tired, but no matter how difficult it is, always try to look at the bright side of everything.

The more we allow our negative thoughts, the more we feel exhausted.

It could lead us to stress and depression instead of pushing ourselves to keep going.

Remember that you are under attack, so guard your hearts and minds.

Do not watch the clock

“Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.” —Sam Levenson

Sometimes the more we know the time, the more we feel tired. It could lead us to distraction and the longer we could finish our tasks. Focusing on completing our tasks is better before thinking of many things.

Set your mind and heart on the race, rest when tired, but never give up. Like a horse running in a race, their eyes are only set in one direction so they would not get distracted.

Even though we are exhausted in the running to reach our desired destination, be strong and keep the faith.

Treat yourself

“Taking breaks isn’t about cheating yourself. It’s about treating yourself.” ― Curtis Tyrone Jones

Have you ever felt bad about taking a rest? For most people who are hardworking for them to provide a happy home for their families, they feel guilty when they take a break.

Do not feel guilty. There is nothing wrong with taking a rest. You deserve to treat your sacrifices for your loved ones. Taking a break is one of the best gifts you could give to yourself.

Parents sometimes feel bad about taking a break. However, to do their responsibilities cheerfully, they need to unwind.

Happy parents can show their love and care for their children more.
